New to this amazing forum. Hopefully this isn't too dumb of a question and hopefully it's OK to create this thread here as a noob..

I have an ego-T with type B tank setup that i've had for about a year now and really enjoy it. I've had a tobacco flavor, jolly rancher, mountain dew and caramel cuppucino flavors. All tasted great. I just recently got back into vaping and got in some new atomizers and watermelon flavor from myfreedomsmokes last night. Today, as i'm vaping for the first time in months, i'm not sure why i'm hardly getting a good taste/vape because of the fresh atomizer and fresh liquid..

Tastes almost like the atomizer isn't quite getting enough liquid to produce a good vape. But I don't know if it could just be the brand/flavor of eliquid, either, since i've never bought from them before.

Any input, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I just recently got their watermelon flavor also. Really do not like it. I still have it setting on the shelf. I dont know if it needs steeping or what just not anything close to what it should be. Sorry if this really doesnt help.

Thanks, i do appreciate your input. I just can't imagine it would be this bad..

old e-liquid?

I just got this eliquid in the mail last night. If it's old, it would have to be old from sitting at the online store, I suppose.

How old is the battery? Maybe it's not putting out the voltage it once did.

Both batteries I have are the same ones I got with the kit when I bought them about a year ago. I've never had problems like this but I do suppose it's possible. I'll give my other battery a full charge and see if the problem persists.

I Still have batteries, and am using one at the moment, that I purchased in 2009. It is more about the charge/discharge cycles, not just the age. I had a 14500 in my box mod go for over 8 hours today, and it was purchased in 2009, but has not been used a lot. I have others that have seen a lot of use get to where after a charge, just sitting overnight are down to 3.5 volts, at which point it is time to pitch them. Not sure of the atty's you have but the liquid might not be wicking good, something to check.

Is there anything I can do to help the liquid "wick" better in this model?

Also, would this be an option? Came accross this and it says that it's 510 threaded and I'd imagine it would work with what I have now.. Just not sure..

I got a sample bottle of watermelon from myfreedomsmokes.com a while back. I didn't like it a first either. I set it aside for a couple weeks, and when i tried it again it was much better. Your's may just need to steep awhile.

Yall are gonna end up banning me for stupid questions... But how do you steep an e-liquid? I see it being referenced, just not a basic answer just yet..

Steeping in its simplest form is just allowing an e-juice time to mature. This can be a few days to 4 weeks, but often someplace in between. If the liquid has an alcohol base, leaving the top cap off for a couple of days allows the alcohol to evaporate. Otherwise, shake the bottle daily, and allow to sit in a dark cool spot.

Not all liquids need to be steeped. Simpler flavors often do not. More complex mixtures or those created custom at the time of purchase often benefit from steeping.

Batteries Ego batteries have an expected lifetime of 250 - 300 charges on them. Lithium batteries will have a natural drop off in being able to hold their charge while not being used, and may not recover fully to hold a full charge once used again. For better performance I suggest purchasing some new batteries.

Juice Delivery Devices I've never use the ego tank B (atomizer tanks) so I'm not particulary familiar with their use. I did find the below video on their use that may or may not prove helpful to you. A more contemporary juice attachment like a clearomizer, cartomizer, or cartotank would most likely be a marked improvement over what you presently have. I've made a picture dictionary of the more common delivery attachments for novice vapors. Proper Terminology: Is it a carto, a tank, or what? Primer on Juice Attachments

E-Liquids This is where things get interesting. Everyone will have a different opinion on the same flavor or e-liquid. Taste is subjective from one person to the next. Most of us have needed to try several flavors or more before finding a liquid that we don't mind vaping all day. Best suggestion is to purchase flavor samplers from those vendors that offer them. Better to spend a little smaller samplers than waste money on a larger bottle you may not care for at all. Once you find a flavor you like, you can purchase a larger size later. If you have a storefront vape store within driving distance, many have juice test stations where you can sample all of their flavors in store before deciding to purchase any.

OK so i've got my new vision spinner 1300 with new kanger mini protank II mounted up with the stock head/coils. The spinner is set at 3.8 volts. I have it filled with that same watermelon from myfreedomsmokes which I just noticed was 100% PG.. I get a good flavor but don't get crap worth of a vapor. Same problem I was having with my previous setup when I started this thread.

I suppose this problem really ended up being the pg/vg ratio I chose?? I guess I just wasn't careful and didn't educate myself before ordering that eliquid.. Not sure why anyone would buy just straight PG unless they were planning on mixing their own.

Am I right with my assumptions here?

Thanks!

Hey all, I answered my own question when I stopped by my local shop and bought my all time favorite "jolly rancher" from elixer. I didn't want to wait for my recent order of juices to arrive in the mail. Filled up my brand new vivi nova and fired it up. GREAT taste and GREAT vapor!

Learned my lesson when ordering eliquids... 100% PG sucks.. lol
