question of vg vs pg juices

I'm revealing myself as a hapless noob still but I was wondering...

I've heard people swear by Pg based e-juice and Vg based e-juice and I've tried both... And both taste pretty much the same to me.

So my question is... Which one is better for the atomizer, since I'm not noticing any real difference in flavor.

As a DIY'er I am surprised to hear that you don't find any difference between the two ... because there are differences.

VG is much, much thicker, and sweeter than PG is for one ... the difference in how they carry flavor, provide TH, and the density of vapor production is remarkably different. Makes me wonder if you have actually tried them both, or if perhaps there was some mislabeling in the juice you have tried to date??

Technically PG is better for both atomizers and cartomizers because it is a much thinner liquid, while VG is quite viscous and known to get gunky with repeated use. These days I only drip on occasion, so my VG heavy juices have not caused a clogging issue with my atties however, my cartos with VG heavy juice do not last as long (in terms of good performance) as the cartos used with PG heavy juices ... there is about a 7 day difference that I notice in carto life from one to the other juice bases (specifically Horizontal coil cartos).

If you don't have any allergies to one or the other, 80PG/20VG is the most popular percentage and seems to work the best with attys, cartos, and carto tanks. VG, unless diluted by the vendor, is too thick to work well for most people. PG carries the flavor better than VG. VG will mute flavor. If you can't tell the difference in flavor when vaping, maybe you should base your preference on vapor production. VG does produce more vapor than PG.

OTOH, maybe you are going thru temporary taste bud death.
