Noob with an RSST - cap getting hot

Relatively new to rba's, just got a new RSST up and running (amazing by the way) with one small issue - the top cap of the atty is getting way hotter than my AGA and DID clones. Running a 1.6ohm coil at 6w. Is there a hot spot causing this or is it normal?

this is fairly normal when chain vaping with anything with a metal cap. drilling the airhole will help slightly with the cap temps but not a ton. If you had a hot spot you would know because the taste would not be amazing instead it would be disgusting. Also turning your wattage down a bit would help to since the coil won't be getting as hot but the vapor quantity will suffer. let it cool for a few minutes every so often.

isnt 6W already quite low? How do you find the TH at that level? i find it very weak

6 watts is a bit too low. It is taking longer to warm the coil so more heat is being transferred to the cap. Most Genesis users increase voltage. I push around 20 watts and even at that I don't have much of an issue with heat. Too much TH is more of the issue so I am cutting my nic level back to compensate.
