Hello everyone,

I wanted to quit analogs, and about a month ago I did. I purchased a Fifty-one Duo from Papa Joes in Virginia Beach, and it has worked for what I wanted, I quit smoking. However, the batteries don't last long, the cartridges dont last me even a day, and some of them are duds. At $15 for a 5 pack, that is fairly hefty. The shop also carries a brand called AtmosRX, I am thinking of switching to that, or to a different brand. I have heard good things about the ego, has anyone tried that? Thanks!

The eGo battery is lower voltage than most. It lasts long but because of the lower voltage you may find it doesn;t "hit" as hard. If you like throat hit you may have start ordering lower and lower resistance cartos. These in turn will reduce time between charges.

Something like a Riva with boge 2.0 cartomizers are a good starting point. You can fine tune to your liking from there.

All the best!

If you are really committed to the switch to vaping from analogs, it's worth considering going with something like a provari: ProVari Variable Voltage Ecig: Best Variable Voltage E Cig Available!

I find that I actually spend less now on gear after i switched from an ego / riva to a provari. I have been running the same two batteries for the last 6 months with no problems. All I buy regularly now is juice and attys. It will cost you more than double to get going with a provari, but if you don't mind the larger format, it's much more reliable and long term costs will be lower imo. plus - the variable voltage will keep up with your changing needs as a new vaper!

good luck!

Going to an eGo after the Smoke 51 DUO will be like night and day. I know, I tried Smoke 51 around two years ago. If you do get an eGo, get the larger batteries (1000mah) they will last you all day. But, look around, there are many alternatives for you to consider. Just stay away from the analog look a likes.

For the price of three Smoke51s, you can get a RIVA set up, juices and some spare cartomizers for a superior vaping experience. Be sure to use the 20% discount code, october20!

I'd say a little more than double. One costs around $30 and the other $200.

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but there is a huge price difference.

I also purchased the Fifty-One Duo and it served its purpose but I did upgrade to a Riva 510 ( $35 ) and there is no comparision. The Riva is so much better than the 51 set up. Did you know if your battey dies they will replace and send you another one free of charge? Both 51 batteries died and they replaced them without question and no shipping charge either.

When you upgrade you will be so glad you did. I never use the 51 anymore so I gave it to a friend.

I would highly recommend an ego with a low resistance atty/carto for your next step. It will offer better battery life per battery also better throat hit and vapor production with a low resistance atty/carto. I used the ego for over a year easy to use and carry. Combine that with a 6ml bottle of your favorite juice and you should be able to vape pretty much all day depending how heavy of a vaper you are you might want to buy an extra battery and ALWAYS have a extra atty/carto with you just in case.
