Hey everyone, I've been creeping around the forums for awhile now, and I figured I'd go ahead and try to become a part of the community. I've been vaping for about, a month now and I love it. So much better than cigs, way better. I'm using an Ego-T right now, I'm planning on ordering a LR atty for it. And I'm thinking about getting a mod of some sort too, any opinions?

And quick question, I'm vaping 24mg E-juice and I seem to be vaping a whole lot more than I ever smoked cigs. Why is that? I wasn't a PAD smoker, more so like, one pack every two days or so. But I was smoking black n milds like a train though. I don't know, all I know is that I'm glad I found about vaping.

Thanks guys!

Hi and welcome! I assume you mean a whole lot more nicotine? The amount of nicotine absorption into the lungs is likely less than you were getting with analogs. However, the TH and vapor production from good quality PVs is generally much better than what we are used to with analogs. Make sure you drink lots of water as the PG and VG have a tendency to dehydrate you.

welcome , when i started it was the same way, i vaped alot, felt the need to vape 24 mg,i found out that i was only vaping nicotine, and not all those other chemicals that i took in while smoking ciggys, so , my body craved more of what i wasnt getting, so i vaped more, after a while i melowed out, then i was trying different flavors and still vaped all day, i read here somewhere that not all 24mg gets absorbed in to your body, also when you vape too much you will certainly feel it,

I am sure that you will get many opinions. There are way more opinions than there are mods out there and everyone has their favourites. I also started on an eGo-T, then went to a Provari, which I have recently sold and now vaping on a Grip. Plenty of mods, so it really depends on what you are looking for. Feeder, Variable Voltage, Variable Wattage, stainless steel, box, wood box, so many mods, so little money :(

It is very hard to equate our old smoking habits and strength to vaping and nic strength. I used to smoke the strongest smokes I could get, but happily started vaping at 18 mg. Tried 24 mg and found it way too harsh for me. Now after almost 5 months am pretty settled at between 12 - 15 mg. Yes I vape way more than I smoked as well. Possible reasons are that I can now vape in places that I could not smoke in. The nic absorption is not as high vaping as compared to smoking. You will find your stride and when you do it will all fall into place nicely.

You may wish to try some 36 mg for the times when you want a greater nic hit, which may help you to cut your vaping down a little if thats what you are looking to do.

The question I have for you is what do you want from your PV? Do you need more TH, more vapor, more taste? If you're looking for all of the above and can stand a good kick to the back of your throat, you already have, IMHO, the best there is. You just need to put an eGo Mega Dual Coil Carto on your batt and you're good to go. Thus far, IMO it's absolutely, hands down, bar none, the best thing on the market.

Be warned though, it hits HARD!!

I own two eGo-Ts. I tossed the tanks in the trash and kept the batts and charger. I found them severely lacking in TH, vapor and taste.

Thanks for the advice guys! I'm thinking that I'm just not vaping long enough to satisfy myself, so I end up just vaping more but not as much. I'm going to change that up and see if that helps any. I'm also looking into getting myself some 0mg E-Juices too, just for vape and flavor through out the day. I'm really techy about stuff, so I'm going to go crazy with the mod scene.

And you know, Richard, you have a good point about location. I vape just about everywhere I'am now, where as to sometimes I didn't smoke just because I didn't want to be outside for whatever reason.

I really want more vapor and flavor, I'm a visual person, if I see vapor... I see happy. :), I'm going to look around and see if I can price one of those Dual Coil Cartos.

I love the eGo-T, and I still use the atomizers, though on a mod.

I found that I was vaping a lot when I started because apparently I was dependent on some other chemical I was getting in analogs. I was still cranky and irritable for the first few days, but that passed and vaping helped take the edge off, but it didn't make it go away completely... Usage may or may not wane. It's not uncommon for folks to go through anywhere from 1 mL to 5 or 6 mL per day. I go through about 4, typically. This also depends on several other factors, including the voltage at which you're vaping...

I'm wondering if a juice with some Tobacco Absolute would have helped, but I guess I'll never know now. I think I'm going to experiment by recommending it to personal (read real, not digital) friends who are making the switch and see what their reactions are.

Congratulations, and welcome aboard!

I'm going through about 3 atm. I'm just trying to make sure I'm not overdoing it, ha, but if I did overdo it... I would know I guess.

I find that it's become my pacifier, for better or worse... I have cut down on my nicotine levels though... I started at 24, and now I'm down to about 15 mg/mL. I mix my own, so it's easy to gradually step down, instead of taking the larger steps of 24-28-12, etc...

I'm aiming for 0 nic, but I'm not overly concerned about it. When I get there, I still doubt I'll stop vaping.

Agreed. Eventually I want to be at 0mg completely, but I'm in the same boat as you. It's just too enjoyable to me, especially since all the risk aren't involved, why stop doing something you enjoy? My two cents.

Be careful with the eMDCC though...the TH is extreme with it. If you're primary needs are flavor and vapor, then I'd recommend you look at the new Fluxomizers. Got Vapes has them. You'll need to do a seal mod and fluff the wick prior to use though. They really are fairly stale without these adjustments. There are YT videos about the mods and they are really simple to do.

The best eMDCCs that I've found are at this link...eGo Mega Dual Coil 4 ML Cartomizer LR 1.5 Ohm, Single Unit - E Cig : Joye eGo & eGo-T | Boge Leo | Cartomizers | E-Liquid | Electronic Cigarette | eGo Tank

The Fluxomizers are here...FLüXomizer CE2 Cartomizers - GotVapes.com

I'll second madjack's advice on the CCV Resurrectors, ordered them last week and all my other cartos have sat unused since this weekend's cleaning. These things just hit amazingly well on my little 3.7 mod. Just remember, lower res attys and cartos will use up your battery life a little faster than standard res ones.

You mentioned you're a techy person, ever looked into doing your own mods? The modding forums here at ECF have tons of great ideas, and madvapes has some simple kits to get you started into the modding scene.
