Early Sept, I ordered a Joye 510 starter kit. Actually 2 kits. I finally received it a few days later. Right out of the box, I assembled it and gave it a whirl!

Now...PLEASE...read the whole post...dont disamy!

I tried it. I HATED it. I vaped for a few minutes...and I still wanted an analog. So I vaped more. Then my throte got sore....AND I wanted an anaolg. So I put it down, and had an analog.

Next day I brought it to a bar. A few people asked about it, I used it for a while...but STILL wanted an analog. So I bailed, and had an analog.

Fast forward to yesterday. I was cleaning, and found my 510. I chuckled to myself..."what a waste of money" and went on my way. I later went to the 7-11 and bought 4 packs of analogs. After bailing out $40, I got a bit perterbed....and picked up my 510. Tried it...and STILL wasnt satisfied.

MIND YOU...the whole time, I havent added a drop of juice.

So I started reding threads on e-cigs. After a bit of reading, I realized that most CERTAINLY, I wasnt using enough juice! (24mg). I dropped 3 drops of 24mg on the atty and tried her out.

All day, I havent needed, nor WANTED an analog. Here the whole time... I was under the assumption that my little 5ml bottle should last me 3-4 weeks. NOW, I realize that...um....I was a dumb .....

All day long, I used the 510 stedily. When my vapor production fell off (wheather it was 10 minutes or 2 hours later) I dropped 3 dropps on the atty....and I was good!!!

I brought both 510s to the bar tonight. I used one, and the other got passed around. People inquired on it, and wanted to try it (one offered to buy it!)

Unfortuntly, my PCC wouldnt keep up with a whole bar full of smokers, and both batts eventually died. So I did, in fact end up having an analog tonight.

In final...Before you shun this product, give it a try. And make SURE your're using it right. I almost threw mine away....'cause I didnt know what I was doing!

BTW.....even after only 1 day,, an analog tastes like CHIT!!!

Dont give up, and you'll be HAPPY!!!

Thanks Bro, I'm a noob and still waiting for my first e-cig to arrive. I orderd it with the medium, 11mg cartridges and 11mg juice. Had I read the forum more completely before ordering Im sure I would have gotten stronger juice at least. When my stuff arrives, sould be a few days now, i'll fire it up and see if I need a stronger juice. Articles like yours are very helpful..thanks

Most definitely you have to have enough mg in the juice to take the edge off.

I have 18mg right now, and I have to vape almost constantly for about an hour in the morning in order to get the 'fix' feeling to settle in.

Hoping 24mg will knock that down, but it'll be something to play with.

Haven't had an analog since Tuesday when the kit arrived though, well, from when it charged anyway. Every morning it's a bit of a fight, but I don't /want/ to want an analog, so I fight the good fight.

Worst case you spend a couple hundred bucks for no reason. What's what you're doing with analogs anyway. Play with it, see if you can find a way to make it work for you, that's what I've found.

The way I quit .... -logs altogether was by a suggestion from Mary Kay I believe.:) Smoke your ....-log 1-2 drags and then vape a couple times:) You'll find that the vape tastes so much better and in a few weeks your lungs will feel so much better:) That in conjuction with an adequate nic level will do the trick I believe:D

Worked for me:D

Good Story! I didn't read the part where they told me to refill my carts, before they went dry..ugh! Talk about a horrid taste! But I learned and am still learning!

Rimp..thanks for the mention, but I think you got it backwards! I believe I said vape before you smoke..then if you still need a smoke, have one! Hey, if the other way round worked for you then I am more then glad!:D

Come to think of it..that way would work!

I have to ask, all of you that are on (or needing) the 24+ mg juice, how many analogs were you smoking a day on average? I recently (over the weekend) got my Vapor King with 24 mg and 36 mg carts and juice. I was a pack a day person and the 24+ mg has been giving me a nic buzz (overdose) since I started Vaping. I got 1 pack of 18 mg carts and those work a lot better but still too much. I am not sure if its because of the number of analogs I smoked per day or if its the specific juice/carts I am using but wow. My next order is going to be 11 mg and I hope that will work better. My biggest problem right now is that I can only take 3-5 vaps at 18mg or else I get sick and 3-5 vaps doesn't satisfy me because its so short (1-2 minutes where an analog takes 5 or so...). I wish there was some sort of chart/graph that showed the strength needed depending on analogs per day (i.e. 1 pack = 11 mg, 2 packs = 18 mg, 3 packs = 24 mg, etc... I know this is wrong, but just an example). Still, I am confident that vaping will get me off smoking with the right strength.

I really think there's no chart because it's just too variable.

I smoked 1 to 1 and a half packs a day, sometimes occasionally reaching 2.

18mg gives me a hard time in the morning. Just can't seem to get enough into the system.

However, once I'm topped up, I think 18mg is too much, as I've been getting headaches daily, though it's hard to say for sure it's from nicotine since the day I stopped smoking was the day I also basically eliminated my caffiene input. Plus I usually get headaches around this time of year.

My 'large' (60ml) order should be shipping soon, which will give me the ability to mix from anywhere between 24mg and 0mg for a while (looking like ~1 month if my juice usage remains the same, roughly), so that should help in sorting things out.

What I would really recommend to anyone new, with the whole week of hind-sight I have, is pick a flavor you think you're likely to like, and order a 24 (or maybe 36 if you're a 2-3 a day smoker)mg and a 0mg bottle, and 5 5ml droppers. Mix yourself up 2ml 12 (1:1 ratio) and go from there. Experiment. Start on the 12. If you want more, go up to the 18 (1.5:0.5), if that's too much, mix your 12 and 18 to get 15 and give that a shot.

There's no 'wrong' way to vape (except maybe vaping 56 or 75mg liquid uncut, that gets into the questionable area!! :p), so play around with it, get yourself the right tools.

Once you have figured out your mg levels that make you happy, then maybe move on to flavors or picking out a new device.

That's my thoughts on it anyway, not that they mean much coming from me, since I've been doing this all of 6 days now. It's how I'm going to try to do it. Though I'm pretty happy with the favor of the Tobacco liquid I have now, so I may just skip flavors and devices and go right to trying to bring my nic levels down to 0mg. No idea if I can actually get myself to do it, but I figure it's worth a try. :)

Fractious,

I smoked about 35 Marlboro Mediums a day. I found the 18mg juice was too slow and I had to vape forever to get rid of a craving. 24 works better for me.

Even if you smoked 35 mediums your needs could be different than mine. I think the mg you need will depend on a few factors:

- How strong are the cigarettes you smoke now? (pretty hard to know this. It may not coincide with flavor. )

- How quickly do you smoke them?

- Do you exhale through your nose? Do you hold the smoke a long time?

- How long have you been smoking? A pack a day smoker for one day, would require little or 0mg. :p

- How long do you go between smokes? You may be less addicted than you think.

To me the juice strength should match your cigarette strength. This isn't an apples to apples number BTW. If you smoke light or ultra light you're going to want lower mg juice <= 12mg . If you're into full flavor cigarettes you may prefer 18mg or higher.

If your juice is too low the cravings don't go away fast enough and you suffer some withdraw. Too high and your head spins. You don't want to increase your addiction either.

I could probably use the 36mg juice but I'd rather suffer a little withdraw than risk increasing my dependancy. My next big order will include some 18mg juice which i'll start to mix in with my 24mg.
