Not a DIYer - Question on adding food flavoring - peppermint

I have a mint+menthol blend that I think would really rock with peppermint flavoring. I have a full bottle of peppermint extract sitting in the cabinet, but wasn't sure if this was the right stuff to be adding to ejuice.

Since I don't DIY, I'm not sure if the stuff from Lorann, etc. is actual extract, or some type of inert flavoring substance. I'd love to put in a drop of my McCormick's peppermint extract, but am not sure if it was meant to be vaporized. Of course, it is a cooking/baking food flavor.

I used McCormick's cinnamon and it really takes a lot of it to get a good flavor.
A more concentrated brand like Capella's or LorAnns would work better. And keep in mind, when you add something to the mix, you are cutting nic content.

So, I assume McCormick's won't turn toxic on the atomizer and bore holes through my lungs?

The nic is at 24mg, but diluting it shouldn't be too much of a problem - I've got plenty of stand-by flavors if I need the nic hit. Enjoying the vaping experience, and trying out new stuff!

Nikhil provides a good overview of various flavorings, their suitability.

I'm not sure how well Lorann's Peppermint would work, from the first post:
Peppermint Oil, Natural
Contains: Natural Peppermint Oil.
Insoluble in water.

On the things that do work okay, Nikhil includes ratings and recommended %s.

Look at the ingredient list on your flavoring. If it contains sugar, oil, chemical preservatives, etc., I personally wouldn't use it.
Most of the flavoring vendors (LorAnns, Capella, TPA, FA) list the ingredients on their website. After that, it's a personal decision about what you are comfortable inhaling.

Thanks for the responses. From the description of the Lorann's ingredients, it looks like they use natural peppermint oil. The McCormick's I have is the pure peppermint extract. Nothing else added.

I have used vanilla...but only a drop to my reg. flavorings....just to try it...
