I'm not a newbe but a 'backagainbe' like many others. The reason for this is due to second generation devices which to me have proved that vaping has little to do with smoking analogs. Apart from the greater efficiency and longer life....and the continued delivery of nicotine, I find that once you can vape properly and have found flavors which you really like, the satisfaction is far greater than analogs. This is partly due to sensation; better taste, after smell of the vapor and fulfillment of the nicotine urge but also to the psychological calm the longer inhale and exhale imparts. In this respect the device itself is also a permanent feature, its a technical apparatus which gives the same sort of ownership satisfaction that we get from messing with our mobile phones and the like.
This approach has worked for me and my opinion is that the connection to smoking is emphasized too much by both supporters and those opposed to e-cigs. This becomes of minor importance in the end.
