Not again!

My new ego passthrough is scratched! it's stainless steel. I tried so hard to be gentle with it!

I made SURE I didn't put my keys in the same pocket as the PV and avoided dropping it! now it's got a big scuff

What can I do to fix it? lol I know i'm being picky, but I pretty much destroyed my riva 510 and it's scratched to !@#$. I want my ego passthrough to be perfect! Can't I use sandpaper (ridiculous high number?) or a buffer or some chemical?

I'm also making a microfiber pouch tonight to slip it in so I don't scratch it anymore.

600 grit or finer sandpaper or you might have luck buffing it with #00 to #0000 steel wool.

use the finest sand paper you can find then use some of your microfiber cloth with a bit of toothpaste to polish it then microfiber alone to buff. it won't look great but it will be less noticeable.

is there a type of finish on the stainless steel ego passthroughs? Or is it just polished steel? I'm thinking about finding a polish and just buffing it out.

There shouldn't be an added finish if it actually is stainless, if it is chromed then there will be a base metal under it.

K thx. I'm going to try the sandpaper. I just made a microfiber tube to put my e-cig in, it's amazing. It fits perfectly snug. Hopefully my vgo tank will fit in it that i'm getting on friday!

I wish I could UNscratch my new blue ego PT I have a very sharp marquis cut diamond it scratched mine when it was only a day old ahhhh I made myself mad. oh well I guess it had to get that broke in look at some point.

Best if you go for the used 'broke in' look, once you've got it, you can only improve it.

I just don't like the broke in look because these things are expensive! hahaha.

Try and find an auto body supply shop, they have up to 1500 grit wet/dry paper. Stuff feels slightly rougher than note book paper. Then follow with polish.
