All,

Just a heads up. Not all eGo-T kits come with the eGo-T batteries (the newest style that switch off/on with 5 quick clicks).

I learned the hard way and am losing out on a few clams for shipping a return.

When you choose to order your kit (if it's important to you that you do get these new batteries), check the description of the kit very carefully. If it states that it comes with eGo-T batteries they shut off/on. If it states that it comes with eGo 650 batteries, they're the same ol' eGo batteries. Also check the picture, eGo-T batteries are branded on the end with "eGo-T".

I'll Stick with Cignot, the eGo-T kits all come with the T batteries, and the batteries section specify the T batteries from the older style eGo batteries.

I think I heard somewhere that a few vendors are still selling the "Version 1" atomizers too, so I'd keep on the lookout for them as well :)

If you didn't know, there are two versions of the eGo-T atomizer, the "Version 1" atomizer supposedly has a blunt "needle" inside, and it's a little thinner than the new one. Version 2 has the pointed "needle" and is wider.

FWIW I personally went out of my way to get the "non eGoT" batteries. I do know Totally Wicked passed on carrying them because of reported inconsistencies. To me, it is a feature (an electronic feature) that may fail. If it fails in the on position = no biggie. If it fails in the off position = a dud battery. I am all about performance not coolness. I have used an eGo for 10 months or so, I had one accidental firing, which I caught. Notwithstanding, I do kow the ladies have a serious problem with PVs when they carry them in their purse most of the time.

I have both types of batts on my eGo T's and to tell the truth, I have played with the 5 click feature, but in reality I never really use the off feature of the batteries. I haven't had any problems with the new batts.
Yes the new batts have a 7 second cut-off vs. 8 seconds on the regular batts, but to tell the truth, it really takes a long, long slow drag to hit that 7 second shut off and even if you hit it a momentary pause and then repressing the button again and you are in business.

I use both batteries on my T as well. I carry my eGo in my pants pocket when not in use. So, I'm either sporting a button protector or clickety.

I don't think I have an 8 second cutoff on my standard eGo batteries... Confirmed, no cutoff.

I only use the button protectors if I'm going to be carrying the Ego in my pants pocket. They are good for that. Otherwise, in a coat or shirt pocket it's not an issue. I agree that more complex electronics can fail, but generally the chips either work or they don't. MOSFET failure is the more common one.

True and it seems that has been attributed from using LRs on them.

Confirmed, no cut off. OTOH JoyE has changed their PWM programing on their new batts (prior to eGo T) they might have installed a cout off, I don't know. Scottbee would be the one to answer that.
