Not enough airflow in my Stillare for by build.

I built a 27g sleeper parallel coil on my Stillare at 0.24Ohms, and when I fire it with the cap off it produces a lot of vape, but when I put the cap on and try to take a hit, whether it be a slow long one of a quick hard one, I can't get much vape out of it. In fact, it ends up tasting awful, makes me want to cough, and produces a wispy, poor vape. I'm thinking this is because I don't have enough air flow on top. Can anyone else confirm this? I was thinking of getting a Chuff Enuff drip top if that was the case, but I don't want to invest $25 if the air inlets are part of the problem as well.

I'll post pictures tonight when I get home. I rarely use my Nemesis/Stillare ever since I got my KSD Hana/Magma, so it sit's in my vape box at home. I'm just trying to setup a good cloud chaser setup for a competition my friend wants me to participate in. I'm definitely out of practice when it comes to subohm vaping though.

I'm going to take a guess and say you are running too much power for your wick to keep up, vapor is low because there simply isn't enough juice at the coil to vaporize, and flavor is bad because the wick quickly dries and then your inhaling half-burnt juice. Similar to trying to run a 1,000 HP motor on stock injectors, not enough juice! ;)

Spread that power out by using more (higher resistance) coils and/or increasing the diameter of your coil/wick. Pictures would definitely help too to determine any other possible problems. Hope this helps!

Coil position?

Wick positioning?

A Stillare has plenty of airflow, huge airflow in fact. If you are suffering from a reduction in airflow it is only because you have more going on inside the top cap than you should and are creating the restriction with wick and or coil placement.

Why are you entering a contest your friend wants you to join? That sounds odd to me.
