Is it possible that your batteries are not getting a good charge or connecting? If you haven't already cleaned your battery threads with a q-tip, try that and then put it back on the charger for a bit. Sometimes they get junked up with liquid and need a good cleaning so they can get a good charge, that is the only other thing I can think of that might be in the way of getting a good draw. Wish I knew what else it could be :(

kellogg, have you tried it with a new, pre-filled carto? Do you get vapor then?

I really like the V4L WOW cartos and I refill them. Seem to get a lot more vapor with these.

MsT's juices are excellent, but some (expresso, peanut butter and others) seem to have a thicker base and I find I can't refill the carto as often with them.

Let us know what happens.

Just had another thought. Quality control on carto's isn't always what we might expect. Look where your carto meets the battery and see if all the little air holes on the battery are fully exposed. If they are, you are likely getting more air than vapor.

Try snugging the carto to the battery a little more to cover the air holes - but don't damage the battery by getting the carto too tight. Also, if you'll place your fingers at that point where the two come together and cover the air holes with your fingers, see if you get more vapor then.

I'm beginning to suspect you just need some new cartos and that (hopefully) they will fit together better at the battery.

Can you see all the way through the center of the carto?

When I refill, I always blow through them onto a tissue, wipe the contacts, before putting them on the battery.

If there's blockage I'll use a straightened paperclip, push it through the center channel gently. This can save a carto that's had things go slightly askew, though there's also a risk of totally failing the carto if you break the wire. (then again, if it's occluded it's toast anyhow, unusable)

Gently is the key word here. I managed to kill two cartos that were having issues by doing this same thing. Of course I might been a bit over zealous with my paperclip.

Try blowing out the carto through the mouth piece hole into a papertowel. That seems to help the catros I had trouble getting vapor our of.

And sometimes I'll blow through the opposite way (battery towards mouthpiece), particularly to clear a bit of excess juice.

You're right about gently, of course. I mainly have to do this after washing them out, in which case the mouthpiece cap is off and I can see to make sure I don't break the wire.

(waiting for those 50 blanks from a coop...)
