sounds normal to me. most coils arent directly on point as advertised, so if your mvp reads to the hundredth decimal place it'll give you a more accurate reading. The readings aren't that far off so I wouldnt worry about it. coils rattling around/heating up may change resistances over time as well.

Totally normal. The chip in the MVP almost certainly has a margin of error at or above 0.1ohm, and as mentioned, prebuilt coils are rarely bang-on accurate. Hell, when I was still using clearos, I bought a pack of coil heads that were off the labeled resistance by almost a full ohm. One of many reasons I got into rebuildables.

Ok, perfect. I've been wondering if it could be the coils.

I agree, its fine :). Don't be surprised either to see minor changes while you're vaping.

It really is an excellent unit, I love it so far. I was pretty sure that it was not an issue, just wanted to see if others experienced the same with their setups. Thank you. :D

Just got my MVP3 Pro in the mail today, and I'm not getting a proper ohms reading on the two different tanks I've tried on it so far. For example, using a 1.2 coil it shows 1.17-1.19 and using a .5 coil it shows .45-.46... Was just wondering if this is common/normal?

Assume a 10% margin.

When you buy a 1 ohm coil it might be 0.9 ohms to 1.1 ohms
If you want it to be 1% accurate it will cost twice as much.

Perfectly normal. I got a white Subox over the weekend, and the new 0.5 ohm vertical coil. When I put it on an ohm meter, it registers at 0.67 ohms. When I put it on the Subox, it registers at 0.6 ohms. It's not unusual to see a 0.1 or 0.2 ohm variance in a pre-built coil. What you don't want to see is getting a 1.2 ohm coil and seeing it read out at 2.2 ohms. A variance that large, I would worry about.

So what color MVP 3 Pro did you get?

I feel like that was a very big "duh" moment for me. Lol. I figured it was fine, but wanted to double check.

I got the gold one, of course. Was almost thinking of getting a pink one, but the gold was calling my name. I love this unit, it's perfect.

I was the same way. When I saw the gold one, I went oooooo......and decided to get it on impulse. It might not get as much use since I tend to use my temp control mods more, but it is still in my daily rotation.
