Think it's broken

Hi, I decided to get an e-cig, ordered the iTaste MVP3 Pro online.

The reviews I read said theirs came fully charged, however mine won't turn on.

When I charge it, the red light will appear solid for around a minute, then will go blank for 8 secs and it keeps on repeating this. I've now had it on charge for around 3 hours and still can't turn it on...

Is this normal? Is it just the first charge taking a while? I have tried using different USB cables, same results.

If the mvp3 pro is like the older models you can press both of the buttons for choosing vv/vw at the same time and it will read the resistance of your topper and then how much charge your device has. Also, unlike lots of other devices that need 5 presses of the button you only need to quickly press the fire button 3 times to turn it on/off.

Hopefully someone that has a mvp just like yours will come along soon and can help you.

I think I just have a faulty battery.

If I unplug it, the red light starts to flicker then go blank.

It won't even turn on, so can't see charge etc.

It does sound like you got a faulty device. You need to contact the vendor you got it from. Most of them are very good about taking care of cases like this. Good luck

it can take up to several hours for a battery to fully charge.... give it some time... maybe overnite...

I wish that was the case, but after having it on charge for around 5 or so hours, you would think I'd be able to turn it on...

I have now noticed, that it powers on for 1 second randomly by itself, then turns back off. This happens very rarely.

i would call the people you got it off , it sounds as if its defective. I have the mvp 2.0 and it dosn't behave like that when charging .

This sounds like a bad battery, or a bad charger. I don't have a MVP, so I don't even know if uses external batteries or has them inside already..

must be a faulty batt.i have one and I have never had it do any of those things. I would return it.

I vote bad battery. All of mine came with a full charge. It should at least turn on even with a low battery. I would definitely contact the vendor and have them send you a good one.

Yeah cheers everyone, got it through amazon, so will have to send it back then wait a few days for my money, no big deal really.

I googled a local place, so will phone them tomorrow and see what models they have, may as well support local business!

I just got one too and it was DOA. Tried charging via usb with my computer and the wall adapter for some 14 hours total, but I get nothing except an occasional weak, red battery light. I'm wondering if there is a bad batch of them or something. I'm waiting to hear back from the vendor for a return authorization.
