i did fall off the vapewagon for a few years. When i left it was about istick, vamo and lavatube..i just ordered a smok g150 w/ big baby beast starterkit to get back into it..i also JUST so happened to time my return to vaping with the same day boba’s made its return...what are the odds my EDV comes back the same day as me.. weird lol..anyways my “newbie” question is did i mess up with the g150/ big baby beast kit? Was there a better option for a not-so-new newbie?

We're at the point now where a regulated mod just holds batteries and delivers fixed performance. You won't get a different experience, by much, using a different mod with the same features. The only thing that differentiates them is the quality of the build, the durability, and the price.

If you google the mod you'll find other people's experience with it. I won't comment on it because any time you write something about Smok some take it personal.

This stuff is much easier than a few years ago. Don't worry about whether or not you made a mistake, just enjoy it for what it is. It will help you figure out what kind of vape you want.

Hi and welcome! That's pretty good your adv came back right now. I have the BBB and think it's a fine tank. I don't have the mod you ordered but Smok can have some real QC issues, but there's nothing inherently wrong with your choice. I have two Smok mods for over a year and both are still working and looking fine. Good luck!

Welcome back! I am returning myself. The new technology is amazing. When I fell off the wagon, Asmodus was a mech mod company. The last device I purchased was an ipvd2. I have heard a lot of mixed things about Smok. All I have from them is a baby beast tank. My only complaint is the swivel top opens in my pocket and dumps my juice. I dont use it very often. I have a Pico from one attempt to get back into vaping. It is well made and reliable. I just purchased a Battlestar 200w and Dead Rabbit RDA. Both seem rock solid so far. If you get back into vaping you will probably buy other devices in the future anyway. If it keeps you on the wagon, it is the best mod out there.
P.S. i did pick up some Boba's Bounty

Welcome home. I would not have picked the gear you did, but I don't vape that high. If you like it, that's what counts. I've heard good and bad about both. You make the call.
What would you have picked up? I left right as the sub ohm game was starting..is it that big of a difference? How do you think it will do with some 3mg bobas? You got me nervous now lol

Welcome. If you're like the rest of us the equipment you are using now will not be the equipment you are using a couple of months from now...which won't be the equipment you are using 6 months from now...which won't be the equipment you are using a year from now...and so on.

Probably a mech; I'm am mostly a mekkie at heart. And it's easy for me because I am happy between 25-30 watts and I don't use TC. My latest mod purchase, however, is a regulated mod; a Squid Industries Double Barrel. Nice rig, I like it. It's way more power than I need, but two batteries last me for days. The board is proprietary, it does not do TC, but it's a VW machine. And I'm a coil builder, so I wouldn't be interested in tanks with drop-in coils. I just got GeekVape's latest, the Blitzen RTA. I am mostly satisfied with it, with one or two minor quibbles. Vapes like a dream, though. I'll do a write-up one of these days, as soon as I get my roundtuit all polished up.

No need to be nervous about your call. A lot of people are using that gear and like it. Smok sometimes has problems with QC, and I hope this will not affect you. But unless and until it does, there's no need to worry.
