Hi everyone. I was a member of this forum a long time ago, but can't remember my username or password, so I just made a new account. I have been vaping on and off for 3 years, but have spent more time smoking analogs than e-cigs since then. Now I have been off analogs for 62 days and recently got a new vape, the innokin endura t18, which I love. It came in the mail on September 17, two days ago, but I guess I'm vaping too much because the atomizer head already seems to be worn out... I'm getting a burnt taste. Anyone have any ideas on what else it could be? Seems like it would be impossible to vape so much in 2 days that the atomizer head would already be worn out. Any suggestions would be appreciated... thanks!!

Then you're likely hitting it too often.
You may need a device that can keep up with your needs or just get a second T18 and rotate their use so neither one gets over heated/overused. Just my thoughts. Cheers.

That's actually a really good idea. Thanks. I'm only vaping 6mg nic right now, and I think I may have stepped down too soon (started at 24mg on July 19, 2016)... so I will get a second one and/or raise the nic level of my juice. Thanks for your input!!

Hello and welcome back. A burnt taste comes normally from burning the cotton wick because there is insufficient juice on it and/or your power setting is too high (and since your unit hasn't got a power setting that dosen't apply). Did you prime the coil properly before starting? As Hitme mentioned VG juices can be slow to wick. That particular coil may be faulty. You may be chain vaping and as Hitme alluded to you are vaping faster than the device can wick.
A slight burned taste can usually be washed away with clear water and the coil dried & reused. Too much burnt taste and the taste will stay and the coil is garbage. If the coil seems at fault you can sometimes promote better wicking by pocking small holes in the cotton through the holes in the coil. Too much though and you can easily get it leaking which isn't good so experiment with coils at your own risk.

Somewhere out there
Welcome back and congrats to vaping again! I love the T18, it is my grab my go unit when out and about. I get six weeks out of a coil but have several tanks going with different flavors, so if one gets hot I switch to another. I do twirl the tanks to keep them moist and don't let them run down in juice too far, keep them filled so they wick correctly. My advice is pick up another tank or two or another kit so you can switch around the tanks when one gets too hot. Enjoy!

Thanks, I didn't know that about sweet flavors killing the coils faster. Good to know! :)
Dark colored flavors can also clog the wick.

You could also do "primer puffs". Draw on the tank without power on to suck more e-liquid into the wick without vaporizing it. A couple of primer puffs prior to actually taking a vape might be a solution.
