I am new to vaping, so I may not be working things right. The egoT tank atomizers burnt out in no time. They are also pricey compared to others.
I just ordered an Acorn atomizer tank. If you smoke a pack or more a day of non-light fags, like me,and are thinking of vaping, I am not sure you want the egoT. I got my egoT kit for $50 and wish now i had got one of mods from Parkes vaping and their Acorn tanks. It would have cost less.

I hear ya;

I brought a brand spanking new eGo-T kit (2 batteries,2 atomizers, the work) for a co-worker today and we tried 1....taste like burnt crap right away...check the 2nd atomizer....what do you know...burnt crap as well.

I cleaned both attys properly last night, brand new (provided) tanks, properly pre-punched.
Yuk.
Lets just say that I now have a used T kit...only paid $25 for it though.

Not uncommon at all, we hear this all the time.
Since a carto holds as much juice as a T tank, there are plenty of options that are cheaper and work better.
The T tanks had their place in their day, but carto tanks are pretty much making them a thing of the past.
Not a thing wrong with those bats tho, just screw a carto on them and enjoy.

Hey folks, I've got a couple of the "b" tanks sitting on the table right now(still empty).
I've been dripping but have a couple choice flavs. to fill up some tanks with, soon.

Have you both removed the little flap from the bottom tank cap(thats left over after punching the hole),
    and primed the atty well?

Are you both using straight vg juice or a mixed one?

Not liking the less than stellar review!

    Cheers, Hitme.:vapor:

I bought an ego t starter kit. They do taste bad at first because of the crap they use to keep the wick wet in shipping. gotta clean as much of that out first as you can. BUT, the tanks that came with it all LEAKED and/or didn't wick well. Also, I was disappointed in the flavor output. So, after reserach I bought 2 typeB attys and 5 empty B" " tanks. MUCH better! I just ordred a Provari, but i think I'll use the ego type b for running around, errands, etc and use the Provari for home and office.
I'd just buy 2 ego batts and 2 type B attys and some tanks if you con't want to spend Provari money - yet.

I'm using the mega type b system and I love it. I have NO major leak problems, after a while there is a little, and I mean little build up of liquid in the atomizer at the wick post. but by no means is it a mess or a problem. the thing you have to remember is to make sure that the cap is placed back on the tank right. I do agree to get the soft caps for the tanks to replace the hard caps that come with them. Also before you even fill the tank. put the soft cap on the tank, put the tank in the atty and push all the way in, this will puncture the cap, as it should. Then take that tank back out, take the cap off the tank and then use some tweezers to completely remove the little donut hole that puncturing the cap has made. Fill the tank with your juice, Take the tank and push it in the atty , If you first taste burnt on no flavor, try pulling out the tank and pushing it back in 2 or 3 times to kind of prime the wick.

I have a Joye eGo XXL 1000mAh Mega Battery that works with either ego or 510 parts. yours should work just fine.

Oh, have I said I love the mega type B tank and atty system, LOL. Just my two cents worth from a new vaporer.

Yet somethng else....standard ego_t tanks dont do well with thicker juices while the Type B are fine.

Been using the ego-T mega system since August 2011. The one thing I find that helps is to keep a regular schedule as far as cleaning the attys, especially if I'm vaping thick e-liquids. I agree with Haploe, as well--buying the soft caps got rid of any leakage problems I had.

Just filled and fired-up my mega t type b atty(first time)......WELL....I've been dripping for
the whole time I've had the Prov., the vapour was okay????

But this thing now????? Clouds of smoke, ahem, vapour!

Made up a mix from scratch with some menthol crystals, 'cause I didn't want to waste
any "good" juice. I wasn't a big menthol man at all but for a couple bucks thought I'd
get some thrown in with my order. Good thing!

    I'm really vapin' now!

How long it will last? Don't know? It's vapin' good at 4.5 volts now though!

No leaky yet.(man the tank is hard to seat):vapor::vapor:

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your Ego T, not totally surprising because there have been constant mixed reviews from users ..... I on the other hand seem to be the exception because I have no complaints with mine. While I have both SR and LR Tank atties, I prefer the LR and find that those who are happy with their Tanks use Low Resistance ....

Here's a tip I can offer, not sure if it will help but it is worth a try .... After I fill a Tank and pre-punch the whole, I also drip 2drops of juice directly onto the atty, and I also place a drop on the bottom of the silicone cap before inserting the Tank back into the atty ...

I do this because I find that placing a drop on the bottom of the Tank cap prevents any burnt plastic taste, which can occur when that cap sits dry on top of the little metal plate inside the atty, which heats up when in use.

I also believe that the PG/VG ratio of the juice you are using also plays a role in how the PV performs, because thicker juices don't feed well from the Tank onto the atty, so I would not use a juice that has a ratio higher than 20% VG.

I will also suggest removing the Tank, and replacing it with a standard mouth piece and trying to direct drip and see if you still get a burnt taste ... if not, then your problem prolly rests in the juice not feeding well into the atty from the Tank.

Have ego-t and took a while to get the hang of it - thanks to other posts for proper inhalation technique (watch vaporchase on youtube). I also took the advice to remove the 2 pieces of plastic in the mouthpiece, and experienced much better draw and no where near the condensation. For ease of convenience, I use it anytime I'm out.

Bought an eGo-T type B atomizer by mistake at VaporGeek a few weeks ago (awesome supplier, btw, if you're in Canada) when I misread the item description, trying to get a XL atomizer replacement at the time; so I just ordered some empty type-B tanks which will come in handy when I go to work as I'm a little hesitant to take my DCT-V2 tankomizer out and about. Great tip about the soft caps haploe, I got some of those as well!

The only thing I have found the hard caps are good for, is to use them to re-seat the wick post after I have popped one out to clean the wick and heat element.
Another little tip to get the donuthole out, is use a toothpick though the hole just enough to pop the donuthole up to grab it with tweezers.
