Hi There,

After more than a year visiting this site and reading everything with great interest, I finally thought I would really join by starting posting. I've got some years of experience with e-cigs, but the first few years they didn't do it for me and I gave them up pretty soon. Once in a while I tried a new one, and indeed, they gradually became better and better. Now I have a Riva, two actually, a 510 mega and two 808's. No need to say that the Riva is my favorite, but the 510 and the 808 are the ones that brought my spirit back. Now, I have been and still am a heavy smoker. I roll my own. Used to be a 50 a day smoker, so in your lingo that would be 2 1/2 PAD. Now that I am using the e-cigs more and more I'm down to maybe 30. Still way too much of course, but it's a start. I already am less tired and I sleep better, without waking up of my own wheezing. I also notice that the analogs during the day start tasting worse and worse, although the first ones in the morning still are a great joy, especially with coffee.

Well there you have my story so far. By being here, I hope I can reduce my analogs some more, although at the moment I have no illusions I will ever stop. And over the years I have developed some expertise, so I might be helpful.

Welcome, nice to see you come out of the shadows. I still smoked a lot before getting my eGo and getting involved with ECF, I had cut down from 2 to 1 pack a day but couldn't get off the analogs. But I finally did and it is great, after 33 years of smoking I really didn't think it was possible. It has been almost 3 months and I am still surprised. My husband says ECF is my new addiction. I think you will find getting involved and helping new people learn how to use their e-cigs will help you a lot, so we are glad you are here to help. Happy vaping!!!!!!!

Thanks all for the warm welcome. You know, here in the Netherlands it ain´t so easy to get all the fancy stuff you guys have over there, like the ScrewDrivers, the Reo´s, the VV´s and what have you. Heck, even the liquids above 16 mg are hard to get, and only available in a few tastes. So I guess we are a bit behind over here. Or maybe I haven´t found the right suppliers yet. Nevertheless, I am very happy with what I have, after all, a Riva IS still state of the art.

Welcome from out of the shadows and into the world of ECF! Everyone else has made excellent suggestions for increasing the nic level. I know you've been vaping for a while, but don't be afraid to experiment. That's the best and only way to find your "sweet spot." Who knows? You could end up being like many of us, myself included, who vape two different strengths. The chain vaper in me gets 18mg when I'm at home and can vape freely. When my vaping needs to be restricted, then I vape 24mg. It works great and I haven't picked up an analog in over 2 months.

Congrats, I started DIY over a month ago and I have so many juices now that I like, it is amazing but just make sure you have tried several pre made juices before you order your stuff or you won't know what to get. You have to know what you like to vape before you can make good juices that you can make for yourself.

I agree Lisa. By now I have tried different juices, and I like mint, especially the double mint, 555 and RY4. I've tried some juicy flavours, but I think they are too weak. Vanilla and caramel are not too bad either, but they need more presence. Now that I found this supplier, I will make a hefty order and start my own home laboratory. I already have the latex gloves, but I will need a white coat as well. And of course geeky mouth and eye protection.
