Hey all. I've been lurking for ages and made a post just a short while ago. So I'm pretty new to the e-cig experience. I've been vaping for a total of 2 weeks now.

I got my first e-cig from a mall about a few years ago, and it was the absolute worst tasting thing imaginable. It tasted like pickled gym socks - needless to say, that experience turned me off ecigs for long time. That was until I developed a nasty cough and shortness of breath due to my insane 40 a day cigarette habit. I tried patches, gum, lozenges, a nicorette inhaler, champix.. all to no avail. So I decided to give e-cigs another go simply because I was getting desperate. About that same time, I realised the Australian government had banned the sale of e-cigs containing nicotine, which has forced me to look at overseas suppliers instead.

Two weeks ago I got a starter kit from vapor4life and have been using it since. I have cut my smoking down by about half, so I am at 20 a day instead of 40. :)

My only problem is that the shipping costs are way too much for me; so I found another e-cig over in the UK which ships globally for very low prices. Thing is, I haven't been able to find ANY reviews of it anywhere. It is the Jasper & Jasper e-cig from altarette.com. I did watch a review of the e-cig on youtube, but the reviewer was also selling the product, and I'm not sure if it was an honest one or not. :(

Sorry this was so long winded, I just wanted to know if anybody on here has tried a Jasper & Jasper e-cig. I'm super interested in it only because it works out soo much cheaper for me than all the other suppliers I have looked at.

Any help at all would be appreciated! If in two weeks I managed to cut down by half... Wow man, I really feel like this stuff could work.

Havermeyer, I haven't heard of that e-cig, so no help there, but one of my favorite suppliers, Liberty-Flights, has a UK branch. And they have great pvs....they have Joye 510s and eGos and Rivas.....my three favorite pvs. You might check into their UK site and see if they ship to Australia. I KNOW their products are good....worth a look. Also, they are fairly inexpensive all the time, but they have some awesome sales and discounts. Check 'em out. Good luck with vaping.....yes, it really CAN work. I've been off cigs for over 4 months now....and I smoked for over 40 years........

G'day Havermeyer. Just got a message from another ECF member letting me know another Aussie needed help. That's what we're here for. I haven't heard of the Jasper brand, but after a quick google they seem like one of many new varieties springing up at the moment.

The unit looks good, and the shipping charges look fairly cheap, but not enough info is given as to what type of battery fitting is used, limited choices in cartridges etc. This can be a problem if your locked into a proprietary fitting. You have to buy 'their' products, at 'their' prices, with no competition.

I am wary of these companies. In the long run it cost's more, you have less room for change. A lot of vapor's (ex smokers) stop using tobacco based flavours altogether and vape a variety of weird and wonderful things. I have just gotten to that stage :)

There are alternatives available here in Aus. I bought my starter kit here for $34. Haven't had and analog (smoke) since, and haven't got the urge to do so. I wasn't anywhere near as heavy smoker as you though, 12-15 a day (for 42 years). This has been the best thing, and easiest method I could imagine.

If you'd like to pm me with details of what brand/type of smokes you use I would be happy to give you some pointers.
