I'm trying to figure something about the Ego-T. I tried to search but couldn't find anyone mentioning this:

is an Ego-T just a regular Ego with an atomizer that accepts tanks?

I'm confused about this because one website I normally visit sells an Ego system that accepts 510 atomizers for around 50 (two atomizers,2 batteries blahblahblah). i have some 510 tank atomizers already.

however. whenever I find actual Ego-T systems they usually cost around 70-80.

Why the price difference? Is there something actually special about the Ego-T versus the regular Ego (aside from the actual atomizer/tank)

sorry if this question seems nonsensical.

The tank atomizer really is the only diff besides maybe the 5 click on/off feature. If you want very good quality made but cheap eGo-ts then check out Absolutelyecigs I'm convinced the batts and atomizers are better than Joyetech because they have very good QC between atomizers and don't have leaking/burning issues.

If your going to get an eGo, I would just get a regular one and use cartomizers and not get the eGo-T. While its a good concept, the tanks are very finicky and leak alot. Most people end up ditching the tank and getting cartomizers anyway so if you can get a regular eGo cheaper, then Id go with that.
For cartomizers, I recommend getting a normal carto, especially as a new user. The CE2/Fluxomizers are not the carto you want to get to start. Some people love them, but most hate them. They are just as finicky as the eGo tanks. Personally I hate them. You have to mess with them or mod them just to get them to work like they should. For a new user, your not going to want to have to do all that. The Boge cartos work great and dont need to be messed with to work right. Go with the Boge 2.0ohm or 3.0ohm cartos to get you going. They are very popular for the eGo and will allow you to become comfortable with using your PV and cartomizers. Then if you want to try the CE2s and all the modding crap that needs to be done to them, go for it. I find them to be way more trouble than their worth, but thats just me. You might like them.

Goodluck!

I just got my Ego T , and a pack of boge cartomizers, after I ordered it and before I actually received it, I started to get nervous that I ordered the wrong thing, and needed to get the proper atomizer and tanks too, but the Ego does allow you to screw on a 510 cartomizer, its above the spot where the threads are for the "atomizer tank" would screw in.

..does that make sense?

The eGo-T was a great concept that led the way to much better delivery systems. However it is now just another old hat system that will go the way of the cartridge into obscurity.

If you want a tank for your eGo, get a tank for your eGo.

But, rest assured, someone will come up with an even better idea next year.
