So I have been vaping for about 30 days now. I have a smok m80 and a invader mini and like them alot. I have an artic tank, velocity, tugboat, and mutation x for them. I used my first unregulated mod the other day, or at least I think it was unregulated. It was a tube with a button on the bottom. I really liked that there was no lag time to get the vape flowing. Both the mods I have the is like a 1sec wait for it to ramp up or start production of vape. So my question would be, do I go get a new mod, and if so where is the best place to start? Do I go with a single or duel battery? The setups I have are great for my daily vaping but I kinda want something that is just going to hit me when I use it. It will just be for building big crazy coils and goofing with while im at home. Thanks

I went through the same thing a couple years ago, and no one told me which way to go. I dug for it online and talked to people. Think of where you want to be with it, and dig for what you need to get there.
Looking back on it, I'm real glad no one told me how to do it, and I'm real happy with where I am now.

Yeah man everyone likes different things. There's so many options it's ridiculous. I like to keep it simple under about 20 watts, so I look for slick, small mods. Others want to run 50-100 watts and get big beast mods. If you're more specific someone can steer you in the right direction. How much battery life you need wattage, size, box, tube, etc...
If you like the instant hit a mech gives you maybe you would like an SX mini. It has a features call Powerful and Powerful+. Basically there is no ramp up time, its instant vapor. It as spoiled me when it comes to using my other VW mods
So in my digging I have done so far half of what I read scares the crap out of me and the other half gets me all excited..lol I normaly like between 25-55w but I havent figured out how that corresponds to a mec mode. I get confused and dont want to blow myself up..lol jk, I will figure it out. Time to do my homework. Thanks
The biggest danger in mech mods comes from building too low. If you know your battery's CDR limits and use Steam Engine to stay in a safe amperage range you should be fine. I personally try not to go above 80% of my battery's limits. That gives me comfortable buffer zone in case my ohm reader isn't calibrated correctly. Just remember the lower you go on resistance the more drastic the curve on amperage gets. (The difference in amps between 1.2 ohms and .75 ohms isn't so big, but when you go from 0.5 ohms to 0.2 ohms it skyrockets quickly.)
