Hi. I have been vaping for like 4 years now. I have used a kanger protank 2 since I pretty much started. I am looking for a new tank to invest in...maybe even a new mod. I have a Provari 1 or 2 (cant remember). I haven't followed the whole vape scene, If its not broke don't fix it. Also saying that I have found I have no clue about what happened to coils. Subohm vaping or any of that. I want something that will be no fuss no hassle like my old setup...that is very outdated. Going on my 4 year anniversary so figure I might get myself new toys for it!

Well, there are lots of new setups you can try. Are you interested in something similar to what you use or a bit more powerful? I see no reason to change anything if it's working either, but I can also understand wanting to try something new, and there's nothing wrong with that. I'd check out some of the regulated mod threads for recommendations, or even post a thread there to ask about options. There is a HUGE array of stuff, so just try to narrow down a bit what you want-- something similar to your setup but slightly more powerful, or trying something very sub0hm, which fair warning, you may not like.

Congrats on your upcoming vapeversary, that's fantastic!

Protank II is still the best MTL experience I've ever had. I'd buy more if I could find'em.

They do well on one of my Pico 75 devices and make a nice, discrete setup.

If only the Protank III had just expanded the capacity and increased the airflow...

The very best MTL tank is probably a Kabuki from House of Hybrids. They're pricey-- and then some-- but you'll have the best and won't need to replace it, probably not ever. They use commonly available Aspire Nautilus coils. I am not sure your model of Provari is so equipped, but the Kabuki is available P3 threaded specifically to fit Provaris and this will make a stronger tank connection than the standard 510 as the thread diameter is much larger. If you do not wish to blow the bucks on a Kabuki, take a look at an Aspire Nautilus. I think the Nauti X is the currently available model. They, of course, also use commonly available Aspire Nautilus coils. The tank is good gear from a reputable manufacturer, for all it is not a Kabuki. If you are a Protank type, you'll love either.

As to a new mod, what for? There are a bazillion mods out there, but practically any one of them would work for what you want to do as you won't be above 15 watts of power. That's peanuts; today's market has "small" mods from 50-75W max power. If 15 watts is enough, stay where you are. You have a Provari, and like it; doesn't get any better than that (and I can't believe I am trying to talk somebody out of buying another mod, sheesh!) If you just gotta, take a look at Innokin. It's another reputable company, and they make tons of small mods with either fixed or removable batteries. Seriously, though, if you really want another mod, for backup or just because you want to switch off-- I do this all the time for no reason at all-- then haunt eBay or get verified and patrol the classified ads here and find you another used Provari. They do pop up from time to time.

Edit: Also pricey, but if you're looking for another "lifetime" mod, now Provari is no longer with us, you could do worse than a Dicodes. German manufactured, and all around superior gear.

Welcome to the board.

My daughter and I were never really happy with the Protanks that I ordered when we graduated from cigalikes to Evods. When Evod Glass came out, I ordered those for each of us, and we were much happier.

My daughter and her boyfriend were at the local vape shop the same day I was starting to look at Nautilus and Nautilus Minis. They sold her a Nautilus Mini. She is still using a Nautlus or Nautilus Mini with the Provari that I got her when her Innokin VV3 died.

Check out the Nautilus, Nautilus Mini, Nautilus 2 reviews here on ECF.

The above Kabuki is a great recommendation for any Provari, but is certainly pricey. I have the clone (uses the same Aspire Nautilus coils) which seems to work just fine for me. And is certainly affordable if you don't mind the wait from Fast Tech. ($10 and 3 weeks shipping)

I have no experience with a genuine Kabuki. I can vouch for the Kabuki clone. I wasn’t a fan of bottom fill tanks. However, this one is very easy, as long as you keep the bottom o ring lubed with ejuice it screws on and off easily. The set screw air flow adjustment is excellent. The bottom fill also allows you to wipe out the coil and tank bottom with each fill. Not a fan of the drip tip. Replaced it with a small bore.
The Nautilus 2 is also excellent. Both tanks use the same coil. I like the 1.8 better.
I won’t advise you on the mod. I put these tanks on a Provari V2.5, which I purchased recently and love.
