I picked up a few eGo style batteries recently to suppliment my first starter kit (Kanger EVOD).
One was a smok 1100mah Winder.

While I like the VV feature of the winder, the battery itself is proving to be somewhat crappy.
It only lasts as long as the non vv 650mah Kanger Batteries that came with my starter kit! I use it at a pretty tame voltage (between 3.5 and 3.8v) so its not like I am vaping at higher voltages (as I would expect it would drain faster used at higher voltages).
Seems funny that since it is rated at almost double the 650 Kangers, it doesn't last longer, at all.

It functions just fine I suppose and the vv feature does let me tweak to perfect flavor but...

Another bit of disappointment is the fact that the top of the battery suffers from some kind of manufacturing defect as all my toppers sit just a bit crooked lending a slightly banana shape to the rig when assembled with an EVOD or mini PT2.

It just doesnt seem to be truly 1100mah or assembled particularly well.

Not super for $23 imho.

I also have just received a Kanger 650 mah vv It isnt a banana and seems to last just as long in use as the regular 650ma Kangers that came with my starter kit.

I like the rubberized finish of the Kangers way better also. The VV Kanger was also $2 cheaper than the smok.

Anybody else have a opinion? Is my Smok a fluke?
Thanks
Al

I have a Smok winder, at 1300mah

I can't say I've had a bad experience with the battery. I use it at middle voltages, much like your setting, and it's battery life is alright. I charge it every 3 days, approximately. So that's pretty decent, at least I think so.

Did you give it an initial memory charge? That is an important factor.

As for the toppers sitting crooked, I can honestly again say I haven't experienced this. I mostly use aspire clearos, but I've borrowed gear from friends -davide, kanger, even smok's own clearo's- and I've not encountered this.

Might I suggest you take it to the store you bought it from, or write an e-mail if it was an online purchase? It seems you might have a faulty piece.

It was purchased on line from electronicstiks.com. I havent asked to exchange it as it technically works as intended. The seller has been superb tho. Perhaps I will inquire.
I do realize defects slip through however.

This thing just works and looks like a cheap clone even though it is marked Smok and was twice the price of an ebay clone.

I hope I didn't make a mistake. I just bought a SMOK Emax 1300 vv/vw. The battery works great, haven't had it long enough to get a good idea of how long it holds a charge, but I have realized that it gives NO low power warning, despite what the box says, just like yours, BigEgo. Man, I hope I didn't just buy an expensive piece of crap.
