I am going to end my thread here (I think). Today I received my RDA in the mail, a Monster Cloud V2. I don't know about fun at all, bought this because it can take quad coils l, (would like to see someone pull that off, lol). Man, luckly I have an ohm meter installed two included coils with what I assume was silica wick, came up 0.8ohm, fair enough. First two firings produced a flame, lol. I ended up with it working on the mod at a 0.8ohm like the meter said, nicer Strawberry taste if it wasn't for the burnt taste. Guess I have to start over and get the coils and wick replaced, it's black inside of the RDA lol. Trial by error I guess. Not as easy as it seems, not as smart as I thought I was either lol.

Watch alot of vids and read, rebuilding does take practice and patience. Silica doesn't really burn like cotton, so I would say the stuff they gave you is rayon perhaps. Yes cotton type wicks are instantly ruined when burned, so you need to start again. Some still use silica and it's not bad, one neat thing is once it's gunked up, you don't replace it, you just dry burn off the gunk and the wick goes back to new. The trickiest part is getting the correct amount of wicking material in the coil, if you don't use enough you will get dry hits, if you use too much the flavor gets really muted. Coil height placement plays a big part, too low or too high makes a difference. Also if you have side air, placing the coil inwards or outwards also makes a difference.

I am as hot as the flames of hell!!!!! The premade wicks and wires suck! The wicks are dry as sand and fray and brake, the coil wire snaps so damn easy, if you are lucky enough to get the ends around the screws and tighten the coil loops get distorted man f... this! Brake time after eight wasted units, wish I still drank! Think I'll stick with the premade atomizers and leaking tanks!

Lol. I know the feeling. I bought an RDA and realized too late that my old man eyes aren't really up to the task anymore so it sits in a drawer and I'm back to my tanks, none of which leak.

You must be doing something wrong as I've gone through a few packs of coils for my Subtanks and I don't believe I've had one dud.
