Dripping on an auto switch PV like the 4081 will eventually get liquid in the battery and kill it. I always wonder why auto switch lovers don't tell new members this. Some of the manufacturers even warn against dripping with these devices.

I can agree with that. My response was to the OP who never stated what model or type he was using. emus's post wasn there at the time, but your post answered him nicely.

Honestly, you can warn them, but that's all you can do. If they have an auto batt, and drip with it, they're gonna do it anyway. It's a live & learn deal.

Forgot to mention, I'm using a joye 510. I haven't had any issues with the atomizer getting hot on my lips. I haven't tried an empty cart yet, but so far I like dripping better without a cart.

"Tailpiping" <plug to Walrus> as it's called on a 510?8-o Man, you must not take a hit longer than 3 seconds.
I use an empty cart when dripping. Last thing I want to risk is a round shaped crack pipe burn on my lips LOL.

I have a 510 (manual) and have also dispensed with using a cart. What's the point when minus the cart the hit is as "cigarette like" as it gets. Seems like dripping juice in that filler is wasting good juice I could be inhaling LOL. Well, I have to top it off when there's still a ton of juice on the opposite end of the fiber--I'd rather just turn it into vapor and be done with it. Have to admit, though, it is obviously going to up the "gunk" factor. Oh well.

The 510 has a 3 piece cart. You can pop out the end plug and the inner plug to use it as just a mouth piece. It gets more air flow this way. If you study the design you will also see that no air is pulled through the filler material at all. The filler drips the juice to the atomizer bridge and the vapor is pulled around the sides up into the mouthpiece.

Happy vaping.

Maybe my 510 atomizer is weak? It really doesn't get that hot. The brass band connected to the battery will get slightly hot, but the part that connects to the cart does not get hot at all. This is my first atomizer so maybe I did get a dud, but it seems to be producing a fair bit of vapor by tailpiping.

Can you advise me on whether or not dripping is a good idea for my dse901 "mini". If so how many drops would you put on the atty and how many puffs would you get off that amount of drops....aprox. If you can...Thanks Lots

Personally, since I just got mine, I am a little worried about doing anything that wasn't intended by the manufacturer.

I'm sorry to be off the subject but I just noticed that you and I have the exact same quit time on our "tickers" but how in the world did you only save $19.88 on 127 analogs. I was just wondering if that was correct cause here in arizona analogs are 6 to 8 bucks a pack. Just FYI.. have a good eve.
