I've got an upright bass, 70s orange label acoustic guitar, squier strat from the early 90s, an imported Hamer 5 string bass that was defretted and epoxied with bartolini pickups, and a piano sitting around too. A majority of my music time is on the Upright or the 7 string.

Some really nice gear you have there James. I like it all but especially like the 7 string and that pedal board.
The 7 looks to have a burl top but what are those inlays?
Figured I would wait to see if there was any interest in this thread before posting some stuff.
I am a gear head and have too much gear but I can think of worse problems to have.

I suppose I will start with a few Gibsons and a couple of amps.
BTW James, I see your Egnater and raise you a Blackstar.

Thanks.... I'm digging the Gibsons, I'm hoping to pick up an SG junior some day (I have a thing for guitars with a single, single coil pickup). Post up some pictures of that explorer style guitar from your avatar!!! I have an 83 Destroyer bass and Dimarzio explorer copy body that will both eventually be restored/modded/hotrodded. I started playing in 1980, I *LOVE* pointy instruments :)

The 7 is a very unique instrument... it is truly a 'one of a kind'. There is no 'finish' on the bass, all the wood except the Swamp Ash core has been Acrylized (wood is processed with heat, pressure/vacuum and acrylic resin that permanently impregnates the wood. It feels silky and sounds killer). The woods are Ash core, Dyed and Acrylized Birdseye Maple top, back, and neck with a curly maple veneer under the top. The fingerboard is Wenge and the inlays are Silver Vine (both acrylized). I had made a 'build blog' of the process Myself... alone | Bee Sting

Here is a closeup of the board
probag_leather_double_bass_bag%20027.jpg

My fretless 6 has a killer board too (same Acrylize process as the 7)

This thread is picking up some steam, so thanks for posting everyone. I also appreciate everyone listing what we are looking at in the pics.
I failed miserably on my 1st pic post but for those who don't know what they were, here's the skinny.
2002 SG Voodoo w/ hot ceramics
2004 61 RI.... with an almost Ibanez skinny neck and 57's
78 The Paul- made of Walnut with T-top pu's
98 LP Std- non chambered/swissed..... 10.4lbs
My little one watt Blackstar that sounds pretty mean and transports everywhere. Lastly we have the Egnater Renegade.

Surgical- I spy a Schecter. Is that a C1?

sawtoothscream- Mmm... 6505 and Ibanez- let me guess what type music you play. :2cool:
How do you feel about the Masterbilt? Heard they play pretty well but haven't tried one yet. Need to find something to replace my ailing 35 year old Alvarez.

That's a great fingerboard shot James. Pointy instuments, eh? Let's see if I can produce some pointy pics today and I will explain what we see since a few of mine are prototypes.
Gonna make you guys wait for the Avatar guitar in order to keep the thread going.:D

1st up: Guitar Logistics S6 "RedWitch" serial number 002 (prototype). This guitar was originally supposed to be a 7 string but during the build became a 6 string. It is a 25.5 scale, has a Sapele body, flamed burl maple top, ziricote fretboard and a padauk/maple/ebony lam neck. Also styling Hipshot hardware and custom hand wound h/b's. After this purchase, the VooDoo and LP Std. left the building. Anyway, here's some pics of RedWitch. Only issue with this guitar is nobody wants to be to my left.LOL

Here is a little Peavey tube amp love for sawtoothscream

120W Peavey Ultra Plus w/ a bunch of NOS vintage tubes in the preamp and 6l6gc's in the output stage.

Loud and obnoxious but can't seem to let this one go. No need for 120w tube amps these days but this one shines at volume.

A kid from a band we use to play shows with had a ultra and xxx he would play. Loud and brutal sounding set up.

Wow - some glorious instruments!
I didn't add any descriptions, and these are odd -
I got both guitars new -

The Yamaha SG2000 I bought in I think 1979? It was tough but I remember choosing it over a 25th Anniversary Les Paul. It had like 15 lbs over that axe, contributing to the incredible natural sustain that you can hear most clearly as Carlos Santana plays it on most of the Moonflower album live tracks.

Here's Carlos hugging his Yamaha. I feel the same.
carlos hugging yamaha.JPG

The see-through-blue is a Signature, the little known guitar company that was, until if failed, propped up by Alex Lifeson (Rush). His design, I suppose - or partly. You ordered one, and they built it for you - this axe has my name in mother-of-pearl inlaid in the fretboard. It wasn't that I was a huge Rush fan, it was that on business, I accidentally walked into the American distributor, and after talking business for like 5 minutes, I said "well, you're probably not going to really need to buy anything from me for a couple years - so can we talk about these guitars on your wall for the rest of our meeting?". They were SO well built that before I left, I'd bought one (he gave me dealer cost).

Gotta run, I'll come back and look through these lovely instruments later.
Here are mine...

Oh - one more.
I forgot, cause I never actually play it - just 'cause it's a piece of crap guitar.
I only got it because it's signed by "Van Hagar," and I thought, "that's almost cool". lol

Took a look at this and first thought it was a Peavey HP Special but the headstock wasn't quite there. Still a cool item.... very patriotic.

Here is my HP Special out of the Peavey Custom Shop, before they went away and moved overseas..
This guitar has a fantastic neck on it- some great birds eye and unreal fast. This guitar feels tiny compared to all the others I own.

While I am on a Peavey roll, might as well toss out the set neck Rotor LE. Dont really like the bling but the guitar sounds brutal with the right amp.

And believe it or not, while the Nemesis looks all metal, this is the most versatile guitar I own.
It is very amusing to see this guitar right at home twanging away on some country licks through the wife's Fender.
With the 3 way switch and coil tapping, every tone is on tap when paired with the correct amp.
This is definitely my favorite electric.
