My Protege came in today. Yay!

I've been vaping for the past half an hour. Switching attys to compare flavor and vapor, etc...This is my first time vaping so I'm pretty excited.

One thing I'm noticing is a burnt/off smell from the vapor I exhale. It has a sort of fishy undertone when its concentrated. It's noticeable until the vapor disappears. So I'm wondering if this is standard for a new atty? Both attys are emitting this smell and from what I hear, the vapor isn't supposed to smell, and if it does it supposed to smell like whatever your vaping.

I'm do get this burnt taste at times, but I just drip a few drops on the atty and all is good. New attys are supposed to have this burnt taste at first, but is the smell normal? I blew out the attys before I used them.

Oh, and if it makes any difference I'm using CaSH Menthol Ice 16mg and CaSH Energee 24mg.

As for my experience with my Prodigy V2 when I first received it I also purchased the menthol ice and it had the same taste you were describing. Not long after my atty burnt out.

I switched to the Johnson Creeks juice and I have been very satisfied with that. Now that being said I also used a different atty (the one that came with my Blucigs) when I switched to the JC juice so that might have had something to do with it.

I with I could give you some sound advice on what to do but I am in the same boat as you when it comes vapeing :)

You're atty going out could be because the Prodigy V2 is a high voltage device. HV devices supposedly go through attys pretty quickly from what I've read.

Well I just tried a new atty with different juice from a different supplier...still getting that burnt smell. And that juice was pretty nasty...I think I'm going to have to discard it. It was cheap, so no loss.

I guess I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that they are new attys, and the smell is exactly what I taste sometimes.
