notifications of subscribed threads...

The notifications come through just fine for email... but the notifications for subscribed threads (through control panel) do not ever show??

Am i misunderstanding the feature and really do have to go to my inbox and clicked the subscribed threads feed to check on them... or should i actually be getting a notification on the top of the page... I figured when it says "Subscribe to this thread and notify me of changes:" that it means just that - Notify​ -
I'm a bit confused!

For control panel only threads: click forum, then a little under it and to the right, click quick links, then subscribed threads. There you can read and manage all your subscribed threads. You won't get a notification on the top of the page about those, you just have to go check them this way. If you want notifications on those you have to do email notifications.

You can also click on SETTINGS at the top right hand side of any page.

The threads with new posts are listed there.

Click VIEW ALL SUBSCRIBED THREADS to view the others.
