Now that there is a ban on ejuice, how long do you think it will be before hardware is banned?

I got to thinking, and with the conversing back and forth with my good friend RachelCoffe, we have had some pretty interesting discussions on the matter of Canada being so sticky with the whole ejuice saga. Man that girl has some awesome insight to the whole matter not to mention knowledge! I LOVE RACHELCOFFE!!!!

Do you think it is only a matter of time before hardware is banned? No more buying attys, no more batts, no more toys? Can you imagine? I think I would seriously kill myself..jk of course but the thought of moving down south is sounding better and better.

HC can't stop this and they know it.Something has definitely changed right after the election. Just so you know,I do not favor any political party whatsoever. I have heard that the new majority is scraping bill C36, the bill that would of given HC more unilateral power than it already has..I am thinking, and hoping, that this fascist institution is finally being reeled in.

Besides, people can buy anything in Canada that has been banned by HC,if they look for it.This will be a lot different, this is a life saving device. If one has to chose between dying of a tobacco related disease and breaking a so called ban, by a non-elected, appointed insider institution that cares more about Big Pharma profits than the health of this nation.
That's a no brainer. Vape on Canada!

im not all too concerned yet, where there is a will there is a way.
They have attempted to stop the sale of nicjuice but yet its still here and likely will always be here one way or another, whether its local online suppliers or a bunch of ppl making it their basement selling to friends and such.
Hardware their really gonna have a tough time stopping, might as well just stop the import of all goods from afar as there are too many to check, along with the fact you can make your own with simple supplies from radioshack.
They will have to bend at one point in the future and follow the U.S. in regulating it as soon as the U.S. figures out how to approach it.
E-cigs remind me of the illegal "tobacco", almost anyone can "make" their own in the privacy of their home with the right supplies and the gov't is hard pressed to find a way to tax it and regulate it themselves, the same as ecigs and ejuice.

actually lipo batteries are technically supposed to be a dangerous article for shipping. I've never had that enforced and have even had shipments from china opened by customs, but there is that chance. an atty and such they'd have a hard time stopping... batteries are considered a dangerous goods though technically

For all practical purposes this ban means nothing anyway, so it doesn't really make any difference. In fact I'm convinced that the way things are right now are perfect. Good old pure capitalism without any government interference :)
The ban does mean somthing. Your rights as a free Canadian to choose a healthy alternative has been ripped from under you. You can not pick and choose where you buy these days because the fear of seizure is there. You are breaking the law technically and I did read about the 8000 dollar fine in Australia if caught. Come on! You really think that buying underground is the solution?

I don't see it technically being illegal to own hardware as long as their is possibly other uses for it. Go downtown Toronto and see what you can buy in the head shops. I remember these places getting busted all the time when I was a kid. I think the legal precedent has been set for this and it is an area where HC has little ground to stand on. I can't comment on Australia but I don't think we will see any regular use charged with owning or importing an e-cig in Canada anytime soon.

I don't even think nic juice is technically illegal, if it was they would confiscate it rather then return it to the shippers. When in doubt customs can refuse entry any package they like. Which is why I believe some shipments of cartomizers have been refused. Thinking objectively, if it was my job and I knew they were used with e-cigs and could have nicotine in them. Why waste tax payers money testing them, ship em back and let someone else deal with it. Though me being sympathetic to vapors I personally would just seal it up and ship it on its way.

I have ordered many things from outside Canada and will continue to do so. I have absolutely no problems or concerns in that regard. If my stuff gets refused oh well, I likely did not need it anyway. If that would be a problem for you don't order from outside the country.

They would have to specifically pass a law in parliament to ban hardware as it is not governed by HC like nicotine is (Food and Drug Act). It would be tough because our politicians aren’t as asinine as one might think. Bongs are fine to sell for example, but not in America.

One thing they might try and do is regulate the marketing. If it’s marketed as an electronic cig, then no market approval. But then all that needs to be done is some creative phrasing. Vaporizer for aromatherapy, for example. Bongs, after all, are intended for tobacco use only… ;)

Don't need a solution if there isn't a problem :p
