Now that there is a ban on ejuice, how long do you think it will be before hardware is banned?

Don't sweat it, prohibition of anything flat out doesn't work period, never has, never will.

"Prohibition is good for business" - Every shady person in a prohibited, yet demanded, industry.

And to the OP, e-liquid has been banned in Canada since before e-liquid even existed. Nicotine is a schedule F controlled substance, has been for sometime, you can go get liquid nicotine prescribed from your doctor to rub on your wrists for transdermal absorption.

Technically, your doctor right now today could prescribe you nicotine for vaporizing with your e-cig, or at the very least, for "transdermal application" *wink wink*. He'd just need to be a damn cool and intelligent doctor (elusive indeed), he could call up a compounding pharmacy and request they compound liquid nicotine base with propylene glycol (which it may already be compounded in for the already available transdermal liquid nicotine). PG is a pretty good carrier for transdermal nic so I wouldn't be surprised if it were possible to even vape the currently available stuff (BUT dont do that... unless you research its ingredients damn good).

I'm confused about the legal status of nic-juice in Canada - and I am moving there towards the end of the year.

I see one Canuck e-tailer selling 24mg strength e-juice but most of clearly say they only sell zero-nic.

What's the deal here? legal or not? Are we allowed to personally import e-juice into Canuckistan? Say if I had a bottle of 60mg juice (for DIY) and tried to cross the USA/Canada land border?

Any ideas?

If I were you, put your nic juice in a sealed container in your cargo luggage. Mark it as aroma oil. They probably won't seize it. Don't you worry Eddie, when you come to Canada, we will ensure you get hooked up with juice. It is still availabe here, just harder to get. So no worries! Welcome to Canada!! When you get here!!

That would be true except:-

When NRT's (patch, inhaler and nic gum) came to market - an exception was made in the law to allow nicotine - in a format to be inhaled or via patch or gum - so long as it is less than 4mg per dose. This was added to the existing nicotine exceptions (ie: in naturally occurring substances and tobacco products).

Nicotine is only a schedule F drug if it doesn't fall into one of the existing exceptions.

...just my 2cents...

You are allowed to bring it into the country. In fact you can legally import it into Canada for personal use if you are not Canadian. Just need to fill out a special form and proof you are a from another country i.e. passport.

Juice is extremely easy to get in Canada so no worries, within 3 days you can have all you want :)

Well, that's certainly true Mr Cobra - but I don't see quite the range of flavors, PG/VG combinations and nic strengths as one finds in the USA. Given that many Canucks report issues with buying from US suppliers I thought I might try my hand at DIY once I live in the Maritimes.

That's true with most things north of the 49th eddie, we have 1/10th the population of the USA so there's often less variety and availability of services.

That said I myself have never had problems with out of country orders (never ordered from china, eastern europe was no problems tho).

Yeah there's less selection here for sure, although there might be more than you think, as I've got no idea where you've looked. Rainbow Vapor probably has the best (rainbowvapor.com), lots of different flavors to choose from, many nic strengths, pg or vg or both, I've been to a lot of American sites who don't have half this variety. I'm sure there are some with more but then you'll have to deal with customs. Anyway, you definitely have some options here.

I order my first kit from them, an Ego-T. Leaked everywhere, and vapor production was minimal. I questioned whether or not it was an authentic Joye product, and they said yes. Joyetech also confirmed they are a registered vendor.

The batteries had a blue light and no 5-click turn off feature. I was told they were 1 gen Ego-T batteries, and that is why. The cartridges also had silicone caps instead of the plastic ones. (and I dont mean the protection caps that they are shipped with, I mean the actual lids).

Anyways, maybe it was knock off hardware, maybe it was 1st gen crap, I dunno. Either way I had to get new cartridges and atomizers from a different vendor, and BOTH batteres have died completely so I had to replace them too. All within 2 months...

They did, however, offer to replace the batteries on my next order even though they were out of warranty.

Did you say the button lit up blue? Mine lights blue as well, what the hell color is it supposed to be? :)

True JoyE products have a "smokey coloured" plastic button that lights up WHITE. Silicone caps = I tank by Bauway.
