4.5ml with the standard setup :)

See my post above. Squonking gets juice in the juice chamber (however it's called on a REO) and the juice is wicked by... the wick (duh). Did I get that right ? If so, how is it like dripping and not like any other atomizer ?

Not talking about dripping atos, but regular bottom fed RBAs

It is a cleaner more direct taste...I use a PT on a MVP2 for GCD with rebuilt heads and good wicks. I have a Reo, I have a Dibi and I enjoy CB and CLS in those as they are much better than in a PT, sharper somehow, cleaner. Personally I am used to my ADV as it tastes in PT (GCD) and I feel let down when I try it in my Reo or Dibi because it's not what I'm expecting.

Basically you won't miss anything if you don't have these. ;)

Think of it as a manual tank system. You feed the juice and don't reply on gravity, vacuum, long wicks or suction to get juice to the coil. The actual wick is mainly just there to hold the juice and extra juice gets pulled back into the bottle as it expands. I went this route after all of my tanks flooded due to an elevation change on a trip and all the fiddling people seem to do with various tank systems out there.

I also like that I can operate it with one hand which is a nice feature to have if you make a commute like I do.

That's what I don't understand. I mean, looking at the reomizer for example. It's still a wick soaking in juice from a chamber. I don't see how that's any different than, say, a kayfun or any other tank.

Unless you're only using dripping atomizers ?

The less distance and the fewer obstructions between your mouth and the coil, the better. The RM2 isn't really a tank, it's a bottom fed dripper. Although tanks have made great strides in capacity, flavor, and vapor production - the best tank on the market stills struggles to perform (imho) compared to even "average" drippers. The Patriot is my new gold standard dripper - authentic 22mm 3 post dripper for $55, where do I sign?

yes the reomizer is a dripper that has a hole drilled in the bottom of it to allow the juice to fill up into the chamber. When you hit the reo, the vape only has to travel through the tip before reaching you, while tanks go though a longer path (tube) to reach you, thus helping to mute flavor.

example when it comes to tanks like the PTs, they also limit the amount of juice that gets to the coil, thus burning less juice=less flavor (pretty sure i am right on this), airflow also comes into play

As a side, I also have a provari that I use my PT2 tanks with. I put change of pace juices in them, and when i get home at night I then switch the PTs to my tobh dripper.

At the end of the day, I like my REO, i like the provari (ty Clark and Katy :) ) and I like my PT2's that have airflow (Which has helped to give them more flavor on a single coil type setup )

Ok, makes sense. I didn't think about the height of the thing.

I use aerotanks during the day because I want something less bulky than the provari + KFL. But ever since I've tried that setup, I find them even worse than they used to be lol. Using an evod or itaste battery with them doesn't help either.

Just bought a KF mini clone for daily use outside, but I've yet to build and try it.

I also like the Aspire ET-S, they give good flavor too, but i chose to send those to my brother as part of his starter package to get him off cigs...I probably would have sent him the PT2s, but with rebuilt coil and airflow control bases (i replaced the default ones), i became happy with them, plus its easier to rebuild the coil for the PT2's hehe

But yea all I use now is the REO and provari with the PT2s and a couple drippers....i think a mech is in my future to use with the drippers as I went to kind of mess with sub-ohm, but it wont kill me to not mess with it, cause I like what I have and it works :)

Both Katy and I have a Provari - my Kayfun almost never leaves the Provari and I vape it with regularity. There's no REO vs. Provari angst here - we love em both... (although, I confess, between x4 REOs, we guzzle 10x more liquid through those than 2x Provari + topper combos). I think a large part of that is that Katy hasn't found a topper she likes for the Provari... she uses her Igo-L on it most of the time and she hates it when she has to wrap it up in Kleenex to put it in her purse. LMAO

I love the PTs...well except for the PT3 because they changed what heads fit in it. I think part of this is my obsessive love of building coils. I have 270 rebuilt with new coils and wicks and I have 200 that I bought that are just parts to rebuild with. I will happily rebuild anyones PT heads and get strangely territorial over people who ask for help. "NO!!! He said I could rebuild his coils!! Back off!!!! "  Truth...but I just hate the thought of people throwing them away! I have collected about 150 of those 270 from folks who like stock heads and would have thrown them out except they saw my post and contact me to give them to me.

For those who don't know I have MS and extremely awful vertigo with left side weakness verging on paralysis some days. I like to explain it like this; Ride the Tilt-a-Whirl for 3 hours straight then get off and try to read or walk or eat or remake coils. I never thought I could do this so a very dear friend from here (who is absent... oh roper I miss you!!!) took me on and started rebuilding my coils for me. As he said, "Those who can, do. Those who can't we help." Then another dear friend who is around some gave me a coiling jig he made and wanted to see if it would help with my problems, and it did!! Suddenly I was the one who could help!! :thumb:

So yes, the PTs mean more to me than a choice of they are perfect or anything, for me it means triumph. I triumphed over smoking. I triumphed over my MS to be able to rebuild PT heads. I triumphed over all of that so much so I can help people now!!!

Oh, and I have taken all this time typing this out because I teach tonight till 9:30 and my usual bedtime is 8...so I have prescription speed so I can function. I'll fall down a lot but I'll be there!! Also I chatter, seriously, as you all can see. Blahblahblahblah...

Thank you for listening, I'm going to go over there and not bother you anymore...sorry...

OK then, try and convince me ?

How would a Reo ever be better than my Provari ? I don't drip, and I don't sub-ohm. I like flavor more than clouds.

I don't drip and I don't really sub ohm. The lowest I go is .9. The flavor blows me away! I had bought a gold provari and a new kayfun lite plus v2 that's authentic a couple weeks before bought a reo. Now, I have bought 2 more reos and haven't picked up the provari. The flavor is amazing, it's super portable, holds more juice than kayfun if I want it to and I can tinker as much or as little as I want. I don't have to dump my juice if I want to do a new build. I can go on and on. If you keep watching, someone will list one on the classifieds or find a blemished one on reos site. If you don't like it, you can always sell it to someone else for exactly what you paid.

Looks like I will be part of the herd. All this Reo talk, I must give it a try....

It won't hurt anything to try! Trust me, when I got my gold provari and kayfun, it was like the heavens parted and angels sung to me daily. I LOVE the gold. But, then my reo arrived and after loading it up, I get it. I tried to resist as well - just ask taki. He was the worst instigator - but honestly I'm thankful he was. I GET it now. Hear that Taki? I GET IT NOW. :)

I knew of reos for a long time. I thought ugh a reo theirs no power regulation and the voltage drop off must be horrid. Then these blasted people kept saying allllll these good things. So even having a provari, cyborg and mechs etc. Suddenly it clicked. I wont have to carry around a bottle... I wont have to worry about having a flashlight for when I am outside at night...I wont have to fuddle with a sometimes leaky kayfun when I drive..etc After a couple weeks with my reo I must say, how foolish it was of me not to get one sooner.

So what's your preferred build in those PT heads?

Thanks 5! Thanks DB!

My favorite build is 7-9 coils of 29 gauge kanthal hitting between 1.1-1.3 ohms. I don't know exactly the diameter of my jig so not sure on that but my wick material is all over the place. Cotton, Koh Gen Do, cellucotton...anything but the standard wicks...

ETA: And thank you KG!

*blush* This makes me happy but I will be honest, I will tell anyone the drawback to a Reo just as soon as I recommend one. It's all about getting off the coffin nails for me. But I digress, kinggirl glad you found what you were looking for!
