I haven't vaped many pre-made juices. I DIY for like 3 years now. My fav premade I've tried is ECBlend 100VG organic line which I usually buy at only 6mg. ECBlend's 100VG organic flavoring I'm %90 sure is from Nature's Flavors Organic line which I have been using. I have long threads about the detective work I did to figure this out but I'm still over %90 sure they use that (but recently have been thinking they possibly aren't using Nature's Flavors - I have to make another ECBlend order to compare to my NF flavors).

Anyway, ECblend at 6mg is like super smooth steam even with "Extra Flavoring" option added. In the past I have used all types of 100VG nic from wizard labs, RTS, Myfreedome, etc etc. from what I remember, it wasn't harsh at all under 10mg. I have two 1 liters of RTS frozen and sealed that I don't want to open up just yet and let oxygen in. I recently bought the free sample from Nude 100MG 100VG. I got it about 2 months ago. As soon as I got it, I didn't open it and put it right in the freezer until tonight I just mixed 100VG at only 8mg and only about 5% flavoring of Nature's Flavor.

Well, it's harsh and not enjoyable at all. I can taste the tobacco'y nicotine very much. When everything goes good with vaping (usually when I give in and buy the ECBlend), I only smoke a cigarette every two or three weeks, now I smoke a few a day.

It's worth mentioning that only recently I've been vaping big clouds. Right now I'm using a TFV8 with the RBA deck 7 wrap fused claptop dual build. With low flavoring % and all VG and no nic, it's smooth and thick clouds. In the past I used little tanks like kanger protank or a small single coil RDA with tiny air hole, but I never remembered 8mg being so harsh and tasting like tobacco concentrate.

I'm willing to start all over with different flavor brands etc, any suggestions you can give me. I am very confused why this tastes like garbage at only 8mg. Only thing left is to spend top dollar for the Carolina extracts nic but at only 8mg, I would think any fresh nic would be smooth.

If you don't want to taste ANY tobacco, and there is no throat hit, it's that *clean*:
Vapers Tek

Many people who DIY fruits and desserts like this nic. I find I can use way less flavoring, too, because the nic doesn't "interfere" with the taste.

Otherwise, I use to use same as you have, MFS or Wizard Labs.....MFS is sometimes different from batch to batch, and Wizard has a taste to me, so.......

I forgot about vaporstek, I did have that in a note I made along with nude (obviously don't like it at all) and Carolina, so I will try vaporstek. all my mixes have been poured down the sink recently.

someone on other forum said
8mg nic in a protank and 8mg in a TFV8 is going to be very VERY different. Try 3mg in the TFV8

But 6mg ECBlend was fine in TFV8. I dunno.

I think slowing down a bit first is warranted.

8mg is a 33% increase over what you have been vaping. So it would naturally be harsh to you. Couple that with moving to a new device. Wicking could be an issue. And I have never had nude taste like tobacco. Harsh yes. Tobacco no. Taste buds very but ......

First I would start by tossing out those flavors they have caused you nothing but grief. Pick one well liked recipe from the TFA THREAD. After you have mixed a 6mg plain base, no flavoring, that is smooth and flavorless to you! Until you get a base you like there is no point in adding flavors.

Spend the $26 to get a sample of Carolina or VT premium (whatever a 120 sets you back) Your choice. Or whatever else you want to try. But get your base figured out.

Sounds like too much nic. If you were using a Protank at 8mg in your previous setup and doing the same 8mg in your current TFV8 with a fused clapton dual coil build your comparing two completely different setups.

Your juice consumption both per draw and total is going to sky rocket with the current setup as well the effect of everything in the mix including nic so It's probably going to be harsh at a 8mg nic level. It's not uncommon for people to cut the nic level from 12 - 18mg or even higher down to 3mg with such a drastic change in setups.

Well, it seems to me that you already know which Nic base brands aren't harsh to you at under 10mg. It's right there above...in what you said: WL, RTS, MFS

I'd open 1 of those 2 liters of RTS, rebottle it in smaller quantities, and leave 1 of the smaller bottles out to use now. It must have been good...or you wouldn't have bought the 2 liters to stash. Right?

If you don't want to do that yet though...why not try some more of the 15mL sample you got from NN, and make some at 6mg, or even 3mg, and see how it goes, too? I've always found NN to be smooth and not harsh at all in my 6mg eliquid when I use it in my Protanks and similar. I make it at 3mg though, for the neighbor...who sub-ohms.
