I've been using Capella and Medicine Flower (co2 extracted) flavors and though they were pretty smooth because I was used to Nature's Flavors which is pretty throat hitty but recently had ECBlend (which I used to buy before mixing) and it's so smooth. granted this ECB is only 6mg and I usually vape 10, but I don't think that's why.

I searched the forums and don't want any additive like vape wizard or Smooth. Just looking for smooth flavor concentrates. ECB surprisingly does have ethy alcohol base in their Natural organic %100 VG line which I am referring to, so I guess the flavors just happen to be smooth. This ECB does have sweetener which I read recommended to smooth out juice but I would like flavors that are just smooth without sweetener because I don't want to add sweetness always.

I'm using Wizard Labs nicotine, and have used RTS before and think I though the Wizard is smoother than RTs. I read a thread where people say VapersTek is recommended fort smoothness but someone said RTS is smoother than Wizard and My Freedom Smoke, so I'm not sure if the liquid nic even matters and it might just be all about the flavor to get smooth juice?

Any suggestions? Want fruit and candy type flavors more than tobacco etc. Thanks

NIC is a big factor in the smoothness of a mix. If you have a harsh peppery NIC your going to have a harsh peppery mix. Vaporstek is the smoothest NIC I've sampled hands down. Some have reported that vaporstek NIC from bullcity seems to be harsher then what vaportek itself sells so be aware of that. Strength of the MIX also plays a big part. I think you've already seen that between the 6mg and 10mg mix. The higher the strength the harsher the mix. What also plays a big part in smoothness is the mixture ratio. The higher the VG concentration the smoother the mix. Flavoring for the most part has the smallest roll in smoothness if mixed correctly. Some flavorings will influence smoothness but not as much as the fore mentioned. Over flavoring expecially with sweet flavorings will cause the coils to bake and crust over with burnt resin. Sweet flavors usually require vaping at a lower voltage or higher ohm value.

What also plays a big part in smoothness is the hardware used to vape with. Expecially if using MODS. To high a voltage or a very low ohm coil will burn to hot causing a harsh almost burnt taste so this is also another concideration to take into account. If using a VB adjust the voltage lower if to harsh if using MODS wrap coils with a higher ohm value if the vape is to harsh. Dirty or old coils will also cause this.

Vap,
What flavor %s are you using? I mix using only VG and flavoring and the only time I end up with something throat-hit-heavy is when I go overboard with %s or use too much tartnsour.

I've tried my freedom, wizard, and nude. Wizard and Nude were the same but my freedom was terrible.

Oh, and double check you're using the right amount... For two weeks one time I was using twice as much VGNIC100 than I should have. Bad note taking... I thought my throat was effed up or something ;)

thanks. Forgot to mention I use %100 most of the time and %15 flavor usually which you would think would be smooth. My nic is only a couple months old, and stored in glass amber out of light and in a cool place. I vape pretty low watts with an RDA, like 10Watts for a 1.8 ohm coil. All these things, you would think it's smooth, but I haven't had anything nearly as smooth as the ECBlend and the one I vaped recently was a year old given to me, having plenty of time for the nic to oxidize.

I guess I'll just try a bunch of flavor sources and try the vaportech nic concentrate. I really wish I knew where ECB gets their organic natural flavors even though I'm steering away from those and using more artificials which are supposedly actually safer to vape.

Smooth vapor is my preference as well. The nic is very important. This is why I use Inawera's nic. 45/45/10 PG VG water is my favorite ratio. If I want a velvety vapor. I'll use 80% VG 20% water.

Side airflow also plays a major role for smoother vapor. 99% of my atomizers are side airflow. I have a Magma that has the upper airflow. I have to angle the coils just right to get a smoother vape.

Some flavors will give more TH than others, but it can be adjusted. I enjoy very high concentrated flavorings. I just go by drops instead of percentages. They vaporize with less stress. That also produces a cooler smoother vape. :)
