NY Sales Tax

just wondering why there is a sales tax on these products. kind of defeats the purpose of free shipping.

Only if you order from a store that have an office inside NY.

unfortunatly, because we are based in the state of NY we are forced to collect sales tax on any products shipped to a New York address. I don't like it either but I don't have any choice on the matter.
