I'm really liking the Oakley Gemini clearomizer that I've tried a few times. The owner tells me that there has never been a dry hit on it at all. Even when it's empty, the four wicks are still plenty wet and it hits great.
This tastes much better and less burnt to me than the filter method seen in the cartotanks. So I'm thinking that clearomizers are the way to go for me. Looking for a portable clearomizer, so I'm guessing that the iClear 16 is the next most popular choice. Seems to be a couple bucks cheaper, but people actually complain that the iClear 16 gets dry sometimes (some attribute this to the tightly woven wick, which can be improved by putting the iClear 30 head in the 16's body). The few reviews I've seen on the Oakley Gemini seem to be just as positive as my own experience -- NO DRY HITS. Wondering if anybody else has found anything BETTER than this Oakley Gemini?? (This would mean you've actually tried it and something else.)
Someone also mentioned the CE8 Stainless Steel Mesh in another thread, as having "no wick", but supposedly even the SS Mesh screen will give off a burnt metal taste after a few tank fills.
Anyway... any comparisons of the Oakly Gemini to virtually any other head would make me happy. Thanks!!
