Seriously...GYM class should be a requirement...it always was when I was in school...it was required to graduate...if you didn't participate in gym you could take contract gym...with a variety of options but it was still excercise....

National "awareness" is good, as long as it's not too much of a good thing. My 8 year old grandaughter was asking me if she was fat. She's no were near fat, in fact she has always been thin. I just don't want the government to make anorexics out of our youth.

To be fair, my grandaughters best friend is fat, and has been ostrizied by some of the other little girls in the class because of it. Maybe that is why she is overly concerned with her weight at such a young age. All this and only in 2nd grade

I wish the government would go back to the Zero Population Growth campaign. Anyone remember that one?
