So this guy just got into a huge argument with me over cellular growth and ecigs. He said that off-shore, they were banning ecigs because they were more unhealthy. He even told me cells were growing not replicating, so lungs have to grow and ecigs hurt that. And that ecigs were banned in San Diego.

He was clearly not looking at the research, and I tried to show him, but it was a lost-cause.

It sucks.

He said that Blu was higher quality if he was going to do ecigs. I stated that ecigs were healthier and he said that ecigs "trick your lungs" and don't allow cells to grow.

I wish it was easier to inform people that things are not they way they believe, but people protect their beliefs too hard.

Sucks, sorry shannannagans, there are people that are uneducated about some things and yet hold strong opinions about the very same things they know nothing about.

Sometimes all you can do is say your piece and move on. Even if you convince them to your point of view, they undoubtedly will find something else to be misinformed and angry about.

Exactly! Don't waste your time with folks that aren't open to considering other points of view. It's sad that some people can be so closed minded like that but they are all over the place.

Of course, that leads a lot of conversations into the "cold turkey" line of reasoning, as people who have never been addicted to any substance have no idea what addiction is like.

My Wife's aunt LITERALLY said to her "Honey, you can quit nicotine. If I can quit using chapstick you can definitely quit using nicotine."

gawd! would you actually think any FDA report was factual? If I had listened to the FDA, I would not have had to worry about quitting tobacco.. I'd be dead.
