My husband was a bit annoyed (not really offended) - but I disabused him of that notion and pointed out that I was saving us about $250.00 a month and he got a little more positive. He's not thrilled that I like it so much though. He truly thought vaping was just something to tide me over for a few weeks - so when I made orders for new juice he got pissy. He seems to be a bit more accepting every day - but who knows. I just keep saying things like - do you really want me to go back to cigarettes? This is the only thing that's worked and he knows it. But I can tell he thinks this is still smoking - albeit a lot safer and cheaper option.

My daughter says "People that do not vape look at you weird because they are all jealous haters"

I guess that means they wish they didn't have to stand in the "smoke pit" outside in 95degree weather.

Haha I couldn't agree more. It such a pleasure to watch others freeze outside while I'm able to vape comfortably inside and in a warm environment.

I had someone at work, the one who is ALWAYS hacking up a lung and blowing her nose as we are all on the phones with customers, ICK: say to me "why don't you just quit the nasty habit cold turkey are you that weak?", I glared at her, smiled and said, 'it's not that I don't like smoking, I just don't like analog cigarettes and the harmful effects like the coughing." hope THAT got through to her....she gave me a VERY dagger filled look, oh twell, don't pull the lion's tail! :O)

No one has acted as though they were offended, but I have had to spend a lot of time explaining what I'm doing, and, if they are a smoker, I try to take the opportunity to win over a convert. If they are not a smoker, I still take the time to tell them about vaping, and the positive impact it has had on my life.....

I have not had anyone act as tho they were offended as of yet. I have had a lot of people ask me about it and how it works and I have yet to turn down a question as where I live there is only a handful of vapors and we want to spread the word to smokers in a positive light. Also every person I talk too I direct to these forums so they can read the great information here and make an informed decision much like myself.

I won't say who my supplier is but I can say that I am keeping him busy :D as what was only a handful of us has quickly turned into 3 handfuls and growing every day. I think it is very important to get the proper information out there and to educate those who may scoff at what we are doing. I have had a few non smokers ask me questions and then go home and talk to their spouse that smoke about E-Cigs and more often than not they are willing to try vaping in hopes of ridding themselves of analogs for good.

I haven't seen anybody get offended necessarily yet. I've had some people ask me about my Blu, mostly smokers interested in trying it and saving money but not quite sure if they want to take the "plunge" yet. However, I was at a flea market on saturday that has an indoor and outdoor part, and some guy gave me a dirty look when he saw me exhaling the vapor. He didn't say anything to me, just kept on walking. I've vaped in Lowes and Wal Mart, and nobody said anything. I think the blu/green/anything other than red LED helps a lot. I imagine if I had a red LED on my e-cig people might be more inclined to think it's a real one and complain though. An ex-smoking coworker saw me fiddling with my PCC and asked me about it. She didn't seem interested in trying it, but she was interested in the information, and she asked me how it was working for me. I haven't completely quit smoking, but at the most I'll have 3 or 4 cigarettes a day on weekends when I'm with my girlfriend who is doing the same thing but not having as much luck on cutting back as I've had. Before the e-cig she was going thru 2-3 packs a day. Now she's down to about 1 pack a day. I've been trying to encourage her to cut back more. I guess it just takes some time. Anyway, the coworker that asked about it was happy to know that it's helping me cut back like crazy. No explicit negativity from anybody yet. My mom is happy that I'm barely smoking at all now. She's okay with me doing it in the house but doesn't like seeing the vapor come out of my mouth.
