Yes,That box is on the smaller side. With this one being a prototype I have since figured how to make it smaller. The dimensions are 1 3/4" wide 3 1/4" tall and 1" thick. This particular one has a large horn style switch 1" diameter(which I have found a 1/2" horn style switch that I will be using) and the box will be shortened by 3/4".The final dimensions will be 1 3/4 wide 2 3/4" tall and 1" thick with a 1/2"dia. switch. It uses a single 14500 battery making this one a 3.7 volt
mod. It also has an on board voltage meter so you always know the condition of your battery. If you din't want the voltage meter I can further reduce the width of the box to 1 3/8". All of the boxes that I will be making will be made as small as the wood will allow and still be strong enough to take every day use. I don't mind special requests also I like a challenge every once in a while. I am a Wood worker by trade I specialize in custom trim and stair case fabrication in remodel and Historical homes so these boxes will be made by me not sent out for mass production. I haven't quite nailed down the price of the boxes, but I'm thinking this box will be in the $100.00 to $125.00 range.
I have done a lot of research to find and test the best electronic parts to put in my mods. The buttons are metal tamper proof horn style designed for exterior use.(water proof) The regulators are the switching type. These boxes are designed so if there was any problem with the electronics the parts can be replaced rather than having to buy a whole new box.
We are in the process of rebuilding our web site right now and there will be more information on Warranty/repair options along with new products and options.I should have a few 3.7v boxes ready to go up in the next week or two.I forgot to mention I will have a large selection of wood types to choose from along with pictures of pre built boxes to choose from also.
They will be offered in 3.7v , 5v , and variable voltage models with or without a
juice feeder.Keep watching our web site for the changes and these boxes to go up. For now I am attaching some pictures of the prototype wood box with our 3.7v and a 5v plastic box mod for comparison. The wood blocks the mods are sitting on are soon to be mods themselves, you will see the 1" and 1/2" horn switches also.If you look real hard you will see a 3.7v body with the battery compartment cut out under the finished 3.7 wood mod.The finished wood mod is mad from Purple Heart.
I hope this answered your questions,If not feel free to contact me with any questions or requests you might have.
Thanks for your interest
