International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day is a day for the dogs. And, that's because there is no one else who can really appreciate the true value of a dog biscuit. They say "Every dog has his day". And, it will definitely be his day,when you give him some tasty dog biscuits.

You might appreciate their value in pleasing your dog, as a reward for behavior, or enticing them to do a trick. But, the dog is the recipient of the treat.

Celebrate today by giving your dog a few dog biscuits.

Origin of International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day:
Our research did not find the creator, or the origin of this day. It wasn't a dog. It had to be a dog owner. In any event, it appears that holidays and specials days are "going to the dogs".

Why this is an "International" day, we may never know.

Happy Pistol Patent Day

"Shoot! I don't have a Pistol Patent." If this thought is going through your mind right now, then this day is for you. You should aim to get a patent today. Why, today is Pistol Patent Day.

In order to get a pistol patent, you must have a new design for a pistol. I'm sure you can whip one up in short order and lay down the permit application fees and such, right? If not, how can you participate in this day? .... we offer no answer to this question.

Did you Know? Samuel Colt invented the revolver, a pistol with multiple chambers for bullets. He patented it in Europe in 1835, and in the United States in 1836.

Samuel Colt invented the pistol. He received Patent # 138 for it on this day in 1836. The patent was for the Colt Revolver with a rotating chamber containing six bullets.

We thought perhaps this day was to honor Samuel Colt. But, his birthday is in July.

Happy No Brainer Day

No Brainer Day - now this day is for me!


By definition, a "No brainer" is dong something that is simple, easy, obvious, and/or totally logical. Therefore, today is the day for you to do all those "no brainer" tasks and activities. If a project requires thinking, study, or analysis of any kind, then its not the chore to do today.

Some people think that Christmas should be every day of the year. They even sing that theme in popular holiday songs. But, we think that No Brainer Day should be every day of the year.

We think you'll quickly get the hang of the concept of the day. And, were certain you will excel at No Brainer Day!
