Count Your Buttons Day is today. Aren't you excited!? The very first question you must be asking is "Why!?" Well, we don't know why. And, it might be better that we don't know.

So here it is, staring you in the face. A wild and wacky day with absolutely no history to define it's purpose for being. One might suggest that the creator of this wacky day, was himself a bit wacky.

How do you celebrate this day? We suggest that if you have nothing better to do, you start counting your buttons. Otherwise, you may choose to move on with your life to something (anything) of greater importance.

yeah wingman, i gotta get to payday, Trying to be nice to my one atty, gotta get one or two more and some carto's, Rich oughta put in a stock of 510 carto's for us, might sell a bunch! LOL.

We are looking into cartos. I only used attys forever, but the last few months Im stuck on using cartos.

HaHaHaHa!!!!! I don't have a single lousy button anywhere on my person today. What a way to celebrate one of the greatest useless holidays ever imagined, with no buttons. Guess I'm celebrating, or is it protesting:

Is it really true that everyone here only has one working atty? That's terrible news. It makes me really sad. I want to help, so if anyone really truly needs an atty or some Quick Nic let me know.

I have heard good things about the 1.7 ohm XL cartos. Got an order in, hoping for Monday. I also only use cartos. LR Boges, 1.5 duals and 1.25 duals are what I use on my eGos. I like the stainless steel ones.

Woody, if you need any juices to hold you over, pm me your addy, flavor, mg, and pg/vg mix. If Rich carries it, I probably have it.

edit: I only have one atty also, but it is a $22.00 atty (HH 357).

Okay everyone around it has just come to my attention, via a few PM's, that this very posting is an extra special one for me. I had no idea that this posting was coming up because certain individuals, especially around this thread, have kept me so distracted that I wasn't even paying attention to what's bee n going on underneath my little avatar. So I wanted to be here with everyone at Quick Nic to share in this momentous occasion. I never thought that when I finally got up the nerve to join the ECF that I would end up where I am at at this very moment. It was just recently that one of my very first postings was here on this very thread thanking JoeJokin for creating a most magical of juices. A juice that transported me back to where my family has been from for generations upon generations upon generations.

Newspaper Carrier Day is celebrated on September 4th

International Newspaper Carrier Day is observed on varying dates, and is established by the Newspaper Association of America. Future dates: October 20, 2011, October 15, 2012, October 19, 2013, October 18, 2014.

Newspaper Carrier Day honors everyone who is now, or once was, a newspaper carrier. The list includes thousands, if not millions, of people. Years ago, this job was primarily populated by kids, from pre-teen through approximately sixteen. At that age, many, but not all, kids moved to restaurant, grocery store and retail type of jobs.

About Newspaper Carrier Day:

This day commemorates the hiring of the very first newspaper carrier. Newspaper carriers date back to the early 1800s. On September 10, 1833, 10 year old Barney Flaherty became the first newspaper carrier. Benjamin Day, publisher of The New York Sun, hired Barney Flaherty to sell papers for his penny press. The only job requirement, was that he had to show that he could throw a newspaper into the bushes.

Now, few kids deliver papers anymore except in small towns. But, but the "Carrier Day" tradition lives. This job is now largely held by adults, many of them delivering the paper from their cars.

About International Newspaper Carrier Day:

This day recognizes the importance of newspaper carriers in getting the newspaper each day into the hands of millions of readers. This day honors carriers all over the world, as they deliver the paper diligently in all kinds of weather conditions.

Even President Ronald Reagan got in on the act. On October 6, 1982, he wrote a brief message supporting this day.

Spirit Day - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not to be confused with International STAND UP to Bullying Day.

In early October 2010, Canadian teenager Brittany McMillan promulgated the observance of a new commemoration called Spirit Day, the first observance of which took place on October 20, 2010, in which people wear the color purple to show support for LGBT young people who are victims of bullying. Promoted by GLAAD, many Hollywood celebrities wore purple on this day to show their support of this cause, and many websites added a prominent purple shade to their design.

The name, Spirit Day comes from the purple stripe of the Rainbow Flag, defined by Gilbert Baker, creator of that flag, as 'representing "spirit"'.

The observance was inaugurated in response to a rash of widely-publicized bullying-related suicides of gay school students in 2010, including that of Tyler Clementi.

Over 1.6 million Facebook users signed up for the event globally.

Further national and international attention was drawn to Spirit Day when Clint McCance, the vice-president of an Arkansas school board, posted incendiary anti-homosexual remarks on the Facebook social networking website. McCance ultimately apologised and resigned on the CNN program Anderson Cooper 360, however he received further criticism for what many perceived to be an insincere non-apology apology, including from Dr. Phil in a later Anderson Cooper interview. McCance submitted his resignation letter to the Midlands School District effective November 1, 2010.

Ok... back to the subject of PV's...

I was a beta-tester for the SmokeStik Pitbull when I was still wet behind the ears, and am very grateful that they gave me the opportunity...

When the testing was over, all of us got a brand new batt with whatever we wanted engraved on it!! I chose to have my 'real' name and quit date. And then I ended up with a chance to have another one with 'spacekitty' on it, too (long story) and I cherish them both...

It was almost impossible to get it to show up on both of them at the same time, but I think you can tell which is which... LOL!!

Thanks... I think hangdude got one in a contest they had recently...
They actually have a genuine (ha!) Cubic Zirconia on the tip (ruby red) but his isn't engraved...
