I think my filler just got fried on my Janty Stick atomizer. When I took the cart off I noticed the filler was gone. Being a natural born detective, I looked in the atomizer, where I saw the grossest thing I've ever seen. It doesn't look like a small raised silver metal thing anymore. It's got yellowish gunky crud all over the place. I can barely see the atty in there. What do I do now? Can I save it? Ah, geez....

It sounds like your filler is stuck to the bridge. Take some tweezers and carefully remove it. Use a good light once you remove it to see if there is still anything stuck on the bridge. If you see anything stuck on it, I would suggest against vaping on it any further.

Do you by chance twist the carts when you remove them from the atomizer? If so that is likely what caused it.

Also likely that you allowed the cart to get too dry while vap'n. As long as the filler is wet with juice you are fine. If you do not top-off soon enough and twist cart off atty instead of rocking it back & forth while gently pulling you will always run the risk of melting your filler or cart to the bridge.

Thanks for all the encouraging words. I never thought twice about how I remove the cart. Maybe it would be best to have the cart staring upward when removing it so gravity is less likely to make the filler drop down into the atty when taking the two apart? I won't twist it anymore either. Thanks again!

I use the cotton filler from cigarette toobs. The ones you use to fill your own.

I have used everything that is out there and these are the easiest and last the longest of any.

They wick well. They hold good amount of juice. I use them on 6v and 3.7 devices without any problems at all..

No taste and they are safe. Don't get brittle. I use them for a week at a time..

1) I can't believe I got that thing out....used my tweezers and gently turned it round 'n round till it slipped off.

2) Do you submerge the whole atty in the everclear?

3) How do you 'prime' an atty?

Glad you got it out :) Did you notice if there were any fibers left in the wire mesh in the atty?

To clean the atty with everclear, yes you can just submerge the whole atty in it. I usually use a small glass and fill it about an inch high and lay it on it's side in the alcohol.

Priming the atty is just dripping 3-4 drops onto the bridge, for a penstyle at least.

I tried them, and I had to switch back to another mod. For some reason, I'd get a few great hits, then all I would taste is some nasty "burning filter". (kinda like when I use to smoke a cig down too far) I tried everything, trimming it down, keeping it wet, fluffing it up... nothing worked. Good thing the box of 200 filters was so cheap. I don't mind wasting $3 on trying something new. It just wouldn't work for me on my 510.
