I just ordered a kayfun 3.1 clone (matte/sandblasted) for the first time along with some spare parts. I feel a bit iffy after buying because of where it came from and that the clone is a ripoff right down to the etched logo.

Could not afford the real one. Wish I could.

This is my first time buying anything directly from China actually. Was from Fasttech...hope it arrives in less than a month and is of reasonable quality.

I hope you have better luck then my co-worker did, he ordered a KF clone as well (30$ ish clone) the little screws that hold down the coil were to rounded and every time we tried to tighten them down, the wire would pop out. Ended up giving him 2 of my own screws from my the original KF kit that i had.

I've seen a couple of chi you clones from hcigar and the king mod I want to get from the US.... They are so cheap but I've seen some fast tech clones of both that look pretty good for even cheaper, but I heard it's hit or miss with them. I watch a lot of vaping channels on YouTube and I've heard horror stories about cheap clones going wrong (mech mods auto firing/ stuck switches). It's a gamble but so tempting

That is a good point. IMHO it doesn't matter if it is a $500 mech or a $5 clone, never leave them unattended and never leave your battery in them for safety sake. Hell, I had a ego twist and a old vamo auto-fire on me just sitting at my desk.

Out of the roughly $300 I've spent a fastech I have had about $30 worth of duds. Read the reviews and try not to order brand new mods before the fixes, if required, have been applied to the design. Not to mention that the price is at its highest. Let someone else field test em. Once I started doing that, no more duds. They usually arrive pretty filthy. Machine oil and other junk but at those prices I don't expect a thorough post production cleaning. If your not in a rush china can be your friend.
