(Please Mods, if this testimony is in the wrong forum, I apologize beforehand.)
I’ve been vaping for about six weeks and felt I needed a nice new toy considering I’ve saved about $200 from not buying analogs. I decided to add to my arsenal and pulled the trigger on an Innokin SVD kit. The prices from the Asian vendors are very nice but considering that we as Americans are in somewhat of a recession I decided to purchase from a U.S. seller.
I ordered my kit from Vapor Alley since this is where I purchased my EVOD kit and all of the spare parts and accessories that guaranteed my successful and rather pain free transition from cancer sticks into the world of vaping and all of the endless combinations of electronic toys that make this hobby so much fun. As always, I found everything I needed in one stop at Vapor Alley and purchased misc. spare parts, batteries and an excellent smart charger. I paid and like clockwork in less than half a day’s time I had a tracking number and my USPS Priority Mail Package was in route to me.
Fast forward 3 days later. My package had arrived and like a kid on Christmas morning I ripped the box open and in my hands I had my nicely shrink wrapped SVD kit awaiting my greasy fingers to mess with all of the buttons and spend the rest of my afternoon becoming an expert in SVD menu navigation.
Upon removing the shrink wrap and opening the box, to my horror, in the molded spot where the IClear30 tank was supposed to go, it was empty. I removed the SVD mod, the telescoping battery compartment and the black plastic tray to look underneath. There was the OTHER IClear30 tank, the various user manuals and box with the spare coils but alas, my kit only had ONE tank included. An error must have occurred at the factory.
To make a long story short I emailed and called the phone number on the business card that is included with every order from Vapor Alley. I left a message on the voicemail to the phone number and felt like it would be days before anyone noticed my email or checked the message explaining my missing tank dilemma.
Within less than 5 minutes, my phone rang and it was RICK the owner of the company calling me. He asked how I was and what had happened and I explained it to him much the same way I’m explaining it now in this post.
He was very patient and sympathetic to my situation and advised me that first thing in the morning he would have my replacement tank sent to me via Priority Mail and apologized to me on the phone and in an email and even let me pick the color of my replacement tank and I chose the blue one.
So here I am camped out by the mailbox waiting for my packages from Vapor Alley (my friend liked my EVODS so much he gave me the cash to order him a set from Vapor Alley). When I told my friend about the upstanding customer service I had received from this vendor, he advised me he was saving his pennies so that as soon as he gets off analogs he will purchase an SVD kit for himself.
Now that is customer service. I thanked him profusely on the phone and in the email reply. I was expecting to wage a small battle with some uncaring phone rep. In this day and age where customer service falls to the bottom of many companies morality towards customers, this was a very welcome and inspiring reaction from this online vendor. In today’s market, most companies only care about making the initial sale, getting your money and then you are on your own.
Rick from Vapor Alley genuinely cares about EVERY order and will strive to do what is right to make the customer happy. I am very thankful to him and was very fortunate to do business with someone who has his high morals and no-questions-asked attitude. This has convinced me that Vapor Alley will be one of the first retailers I will buy from and recommend to my family and friends today and in the future.
Thank you again Rick and Vapor Alley.
