So glad I ordered something other than the RY4D I was smoking the last couple weeks.

Well I mixed one that tastes pretty darn good as a base for tobacco smoking now I just need to get the hit a little harsher and refine the flavor a bit. I think I am going to try 70% PG with the next batch and maybe add a little DNB This is one day old juice btw. It has a mild sweetness undertone to it from the VG I would bet although there was a small amount of ry4d at the bottom of the clearomizer.

Has a taste of a cig and a cigar atm even the after taste is good like smoke.

After smoking it for a bit here typing really has a good mild cig tobacco/cigar taste and the after taste is nice and smokey I feel like I am in a bar. ;) The mild sweetness makes it feel more like a pipe/cigar tobacco.

LOL! I had to force myself to stop smoking it....went through about 1/2 a clearomizer .75 ml writing this.

Can't wait to taste one of these aged a bit this tastes better than a cig and I actually feel like I am blowing out smoke.

Man I love DIY!! :D

60PG/40VG 16mg

4% Western - TFA
3% Virginia Fire - Seedman
2% - Oak - TFA
1% - Tobacco Absolute

Update: went outside and ran up and down the block to get some fresh air so I could taste this again and finished off the rest of the clearomizer. This is good stuff and definitely has a mild pipe tobacco or cigarillo taste to it. I can definitely say DIY is the way to go 100% Sure you'll start out mixing up something with out thinking that tastes like crap. But eventually as you start to read and learn you will get the hang of it, take your time and actually make some decent tasting juice.

Refilled tank with my Blueberry/Cinn/Dulce Mix :p YUM!

Good job. I can tell by the ingredients you used that your well on your way to a good vape. Give it more time as tobaccos need time to mature so expect the taste to change over time. Keep it up your headed in the right direction.

I myself don't care for the TFA tobaccos and use the hangsen tobaccos but it was a very smart move to enhance the tobacco flavor with the TA and seedman's. The DNB will give you that ashy taste thats charastic of the american cigarette use 5 - 6 drops in 10ml's to start with and adjust from there.

Hey thanks for the info!! Just starting to get into the flavors I am sure I will run the gamut over time just to find out what they all taste like. :D

Sounds awesome! I find it really hard to find good tobacco flavours. You're making me want to DIY my juice!

It's actually quite fun and much cheaper to DIY juice even if you mess some up.

It costs me about .75 to make 10-12 ml. and I started out buying small amounts.

Those who are into it and buy the larger sizes can make that 10-12ml for much less.

I haven't calculated what it cost me lately to mix my own but when I first started out I bought small more expensive quantities of mixing fluids (Flav/PG/VG/NIC) and back then I calculated $3.50 per 30ml. Now with the recent bargens on NIC ($50.00/ltr), larger size flavorings (4oz/$9.00) and buying my PG/VG by the gallon ($54.00 for 1gal PG and 1gal VG) I would say I cut that down to maybe $2.50 or less per 30ml. I'll have to sit down and recalculate what it is actually costing me today to mix. Of course there are still those inawera or hangsen flavors which are $13.75 - $19.95 per 30-50ml but hey you have to splurge somewhere:)

It can be even better than that...without even buying in real bulk or anything, here's what my All Day Vape favorite costs me:

$1.68 in nic base (based on cost of $30/250mls, for 100 mg Wizard Labs nic)
$1.25 in PG and VG (cost is roughly $9.50 per 500 ml bottle)
$1.38 in flavorings (I'm getting most from TFA direct, some in larger sizes, ballpark $2/oz)

Total cost there?
$4.31
FOR 100 mls!

Still smoking this mix and made up more adding 1% DNB and 2% Seedmans Commercial it's getting even better :D

Ok maybe not exactly better, but not bad just alittle different the Commercial and DNB did change the flavor a little and yes it's a little Dirty tasting now. The smell changed as well to a little more stinky type of smell. My son says it smells like ArmPit....lol!

So that's

4% Western - TFA
3% Virginia Fire - Seedman
2% Commercial - Seedman
2% Oak - TFA
1% DNB - Inawera
1% Tobacco Absolute

I also mixed up a small batch of 60/40 with just 1% TA and will let that age to see what it tastes like later.

I do think you can over do flavors so I am going start back at the beginning and try flavors by them selves to get an Idea of what they actually taste like as a stand alone flavor.

I was not thrilled with the Inawera flavors I got. I did not get the "dirty base" stuff though. Is that was DNB is? If so, does it really make that much of a difference?

Tried many Inawera tobaccos myself and didn't like most either, too much other flavorings mixed in.
However,
The (WG)DNB and (WG)Virginia Tobacco Absolute and I wish I could buy a gallon of the stuff.
Mix them in with either VZ-SC Parliament or VZ-SC Virginia Flue Cured.
No Vanilla, Caramel, Chocolate, or whatever.
Just Tobacco.

I've only gone up to 6% total flavoring with tobaccos I like, but a bit too strong.
Dropped to 5% now.
Don't know how strong the Seedmans is or what TA you're using but something else to try...

Seedmans Virginia 3%
TA 2%
DNB 1%

I just cut that mix I made 25% with plain 70/30 and it still tasted the same, then I added 5% of TFA chocolate.. :p it's really getting interesting now.

I could probably cut the First Mix 50% and still taste a decent flavor, but yeah I am more than likely going too much with the tobacco flavors.

My recipes I have made before I got those tobacco flavors had 12-13% total flavors.

That's fun part of DIY trying and learning. :D

It's interesting what a little chocolate will do to a tobacco mix. I use it quite frequently in my tobacco mixes. It really adds a richness to it. 12 to 13% for tobaccos is on the high side. I would stick to 5 - 7%. So if you did 12 - 13% tobacco then dilute that by half and steep..

Update! I Took one of my tobacco and r4y mixes and added 5-6 drops of cheesecake. YUM! :D definitely adds a whole new level of fullness to the flavor.

Starting to see how different flavors even in very small amounts can effect the overall flavor of a tobacco juice.

I just wish I had ordered Brown Sugar, Raisin or plum, Molasses, Cocoa, Maple, and Honey....

Maybe a couple more like Licorice, Toasted Marshmallow, Graham Cracker, Vanillin, Sweet, Sour, Hickory Smoke, Sucralose, etc...

SO many Flavors to MIX and so little Time!! :p

Your hooked now. If you have a significant other, it is time to start thinking up excuses for when packages arrive. "Oh look dear, I got you some of these pretty cobalt blue glass bottles. The rest of that? Oh that is just free samples that came with the bottles. Look how pretty that blue glass is...."
