Another vote for an ohm meter here... I have a MVP, VV, DNA30, and ohm meter, and have usually had more accurate readings from the meter. Well, I should say, the meter and DNA seem to be similar, while the Innokin products usually differ. But who knows, the Innokin may be right, and my DNA and meter are wrong. No way for me to know for sure.

I have heard some say that their VV3 and MVP were more accurate than their cheap ohm meter. I use mine for measuring when I build - seems to be just fine. Just a point - mine will not fire under 1.3 ohms but will read anything lower.
yeah I've tried dual coil and it would not fire. I suppose the 1.3 reading is the "lowest" it will fire. Nevertheless, an ohm reader is the way to go. Thanks for the help y'all and sorry if this post was stingy in nature lol

Absolutely.
There are decent models available in the $20 range.

If you plan to rebuild anything it's a must have unless you already have a high quality multi-meter.

Excellent advice! The key is high quality multimeter. Most cheaper model aren't built for measuring between 0 and 3 ohms. I guess the $20 is a bargain for this application. If your have a multi meter that has a 2.5 or even 5 ohm scale you'd be fine I guess. Especially if it has a zero function.
