My ohm reader was reading 0.00 to 0.02 with my rda with no coil on it. I switched the batteries and built a single coil and turned the ohm meter on and screwed my rda on and it had completely different readings at different points where it was screwed down. When I screwed it all the way down it reads 0.00 without jumping please help I have no clue what's going on.

First I'd put another atty of some type on the meter to make sure the meter is working. If the meter is working, obviously something is amiss with the atty/coil.
If the meter is working and there are no obvious shorts or build problems, I'd attach the atty to something and give it some voltage to see what happens, probably keep it no higher than 3.7, just for a quick test. Is there a possibility that all your batteries you've used for the meter are low? Just a thought

Just for the sake of asking, does your ohm reader read "open" when turned on and nothing installed?

Without a coil installed on your RDA, the positive and negatives inside the connectors could very well be shorted. I know the o-ring separating these two elements on a few products is small and prone for problems.

If you have a hand held ohm reader/DMM, you can check the RDA itself to see if the positive and negative are shorting with each other with no coil installed. As bacc.vap stated, another way to eliminate it is trying anything device to see what resistance comes up which is a quick and easy method.

I, personally, WOULD NOT just hook it up to give it a test with a battery installed. In theory if you have a VV/VW device, there should be circuit/short protection which would not allow the device to fire in the event there is a short (device dependent, know your device and it's capabilities). If this were the case, testing it in this fashion shouldn't result in you shorting/rupturing/exploding the battery if a short were present. If it doesn't and there is a short.....well, the risk is not worth the gain IMO.
