Has anyone come across a DMM that reads ohms to the 100th?

    Thanks

    What's your budget?
My Fluke 8846A reads to 100,000th of an ohm (at +/-0.001 ohm accuracy). But it does cost a bit more than most DMM's, about $1,500. The Fluke 289 reads to 1,000th of an ohm (at +/-0.15% accuracy). Don't know about their orher meters.

Were you looking for a DMM or something for just reading coil/atty resistances? USA Ohm Meters claims +/-0.018 ohm accuracy on their coil/atty meters and they read to the 1,000th for lower resistance builds and, I think, to the 100th for higher resistances.

I went through this and decided that my $15 black box was good enough and gave me two decimal places and it's easier to use. Having a background in electronics I really wanted to use a nice Fluke meter, but not so much that I will spend a ton on a "hobby" meter. Most entry-level meters ($100-200) just won't do what you want.

    Anyway - good luck :)

Thanks, but I was looking for the $100 model. Apparently, something keeps that 2nd digit pretty darn expensive. Actually, either would be great. I just see resistance readings a bit to far apart.

    Thanks though.

Sorry, was editing my post to add the USA Ohm Meters mention when you replied. Were you looking for a DMM or an atty/coil meter? You mentioned DMM in your first post but I've seen that term used for coil resistance meters too.

Jaanus has sent me a Half-Ohm which I'm hoping to receive next week. As per request he hasn't soldered the terminals, switch and battery holder yet and I'm planning on putting this in a tiny case with a 510 connector on top that can be plugged straight into a DMM.
I'll post the result when finished.

USA Ohm Meters. Somehow my searches came across that they only went to the the 10th.

Above 1.00 ohms, they read to the hundredth of an ohm (X.XX), below that, they read to the thousandth (No decimal, just three digits).

I already have a cheapo black box ohm meter whose accuracy I've already tested, been debating getting one of their 3D printed ohm meters just because.

USA are saying their Ohm meters are accurate to 0.018 so on a 0.1 Ohm coil this means 18% error! How is that good?
