I've just made my 1st successful Protank 2 rebuild with cotton. When I 1st check the ohms w/ an iTaste MVP 2 it reads 2.0 ohms & after a few toots it goes to 1.9 ohms. Is it normal for the ohms to go down like that? It doesn't go past 1.9.

make sure there ends of the kanthal are secure and the coil isnt touching the sides if the ohm's constantly change.
Not sure if this would be considered constant, but once it goes to 1.9 it stays while using it. After I have it set a while it would go back to 2 & then back to 1.9 after I start again.
thats normal. bouncing around would be drastic number changes. This is caused by the wire expanding when heated and shrinking when cold.
a slight change during use is normal with a resister heating up will change the resistance slightly and when cooled it goes back found this out years ago for the first time when checking resistance on a lightbulb as a mechanic
Yes when the wire heats up the resistance will drop like .04 ohms, give or take depending on your build and number of coils, this is why when vaping sub ohms it is important to know your amp limits of your battery. Could make the difference of pushing it to the limit and current overrun.
Also the resistance of a build will increase slightly once wicked and juiced up. Fluctuating ohms, once coil is at operating temperatures, is usually an indicator of the screws not being tight at the terminals or the coil shorting out. As the life of the coil is extended and gunk builds up, the resistance will increase and vape will decrease in quality and quantity. That's why it is important to dry burn your coil when changing the wick, burn the gunk of before putting a new wick in.
