Wait. That's working fine. A short is indicated by a "1". 1 ohm is indicated by "1.0" so yours is working fine.

Works fine with nothing in it. The problem with it is that the reading depends on how tightly I screw the atomizer in. It should not be doing that but it is good enough for a quick check so I didn't send it back. If I want accuracy I have several multimeters and a Provari.

I got another email from MVS. They emailed me a postage label and told me to send it back. They'll either repair or replace it.
